Is anyone else basically counting the 3rd test window of 2017 a loss? I took FAR on 5/4 and recently got NASBA’s email stating score release is 8/17 or 10 weeks after the close of the 2nd test window – OUCH! I thought it was going to be 10 weeks after my test date.

So, I cannot apply for another NTS until after 8/17 and then I have to try and rush to get a test date by 9/8?? I never wait that long to book a test site since they fill up a couple weeks out. What if I pass? Then I do the happy dance, but I’m not so confident on this one.

I’m basically losing an entire test window to re-test and my first pass expires 12/2017. I reached out to state board but no response yet.

Anyone else concerned here?

You can go ahead and put in an NTS for REG right now. Since you have already taken FAR you request and NTS for REG and schedule an exam date.

Thankfully, I don't have anything dropping off until May 2018. I am praying I passed AUD though, because if I retake it, I'll try for a spot in Q3. I wish they'd do what's right and open up the whole month of September. I'm not sure what would stand in the way of that – maybe they have a very good reason. With every other person reapplying for an NTS on the same day, I wouldn't be surprised if there were delays there. And then those same people trying to get a spot at Prometric. Ahhhh! I truly think NASBA and the AICPA love messing with us. haha.

@WholeLifeWorks correct! And I'm already planning to take REG AGAIN (Retake) end of June.

But what do I do in the mean time???

@CPA8675309 – Exactly! With the flood of people in my area all applying for NTS and all trying to shove into that test window I can pretty much guarantee I won't be able to get in… 🙁

How can you take Reg end of June? There's no testing.

Take REG mid August, give yourself that much time to study. There is no benefit to taking Reg any sooner than Aug 15 ish if you're so worried about how to fill the time use it to study more. Can't take reg again before October if you needed another chance.

waiting for BEC is even worse. It doesn't come out until Aug 22nd making it even harder to squeeze into the end of Q3
