Photos on IDs are not recent…need advice

I was just wondering if anyone has the experience of Prometric denying entry with a photo ID that does not have a recent picture? I am planning to use my Texas driver license as my primary form of ID and my US passport as secondary. But the pictures on both IDs are not recent. Do you think it will be a problem? If so, what should I do now? My first section REG is coming up on 5/5/2012. Should I request for a NASBA Candidate Identification Card? https://www.wallcertificateservice.com/index.php?main_page=product_certificate_info&cPath=248&products_id=1077

Any advice and input is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm blonde on my driver license photo, and I'm now back to brunette. Didn't have a problem at Prometric either time.

I'd say it probably depends on how different you look in your photos and how grumpy the Prometric office is… hard to speculate since “recent” with ID pictures is based on judgement of the staff there. I used my driver's license from when I was 18, and I'm now 23, but I don't look all that different.

You can also use your passport as your primary ID and a credit/debit card as your secondary if you have one. There's a list of acceptable IDs on page 2 of your NTS.

I'm also sitting in Texas, and if you want to order the candidate ID card, get it from the TSBPA, not NASBA. They sent it out pretty fast, so that's definitely an option. You should have it before May 5 easily.

    Here's the form:

Thank you StellaFL and Sapper for your replies!

@Sapper, actually I am sitting under the New Mexico Jurisdiction even though I am living in Texas, but glad to meet a fellow Texan! 🙂

I do look different now compared to the photos on my IDs. I actually called Prometric during lunch break, and they said as long as the photo resembles a bit to how I look, I should be fine. But just to be sure, I will place an order for the NASBA candidate ID card. It is always best to be on the safe side. 🙂

My id is from when I was 17. I had long-ish hair (think farrah fawcett but for a guy) and a tie die shirt on (my wife hates that picture). I am currently 25 and have very short hair and wear much nicer clothes.

Never had an issue. I also never had to show two photo ids. I guess I just have a trustworthy look about me.
