Wondering if Prometric is closed January 2nd, 2012 (Monday). Want to take BEC that date and cant seem to find out any info online anywhere. Is Jan 2 going to treated as the New Year’s holiday since Jan 1 is on a Sunday this year?

I'm curious about this, as well. I looked at four locations in my area and there were not any appointments available. I am sitting for AUD tomorrow. I will ask and report back.

Anyone having trouble logging into Prometric? It's giving me an invalid id error and none of the testing sites are coming up with available seats. I'm in Pittsburgh, PA.

@Nick9028: That happened to me once before (was trying to schedule for 10/1), and it really just meant there weren't any seats left on that day at my chosen centers. I'm also in Pittsburgh, and it translated to having to drive to Morgantown to get the seat on that day.

Hopefully it's just a system error, but for me it wasn't. On the plus side, the WVU Prometric is much less crowded than any of the Pittsburgh ones I've used.

@Nasba_needs_Bandwidth – good point, not just about Pittsburgh vs. WVU but also other locations. I'm in Chicago and couldn't get a date for FAR that I liked. So I drove about an hour to Valparaiso, IN and got the time I wanted. Others who are testing near large cities should keep this strategy in mind if necessary.

@mw3188, Prometric will be open on Jan 2nd. I called earlier today and they will be testing on that date.

that's odd. I asked yesterday and my location (Indianapolis) said they were not testing on that day. He did say to check back later “in case they decide to open that day”…
