Question Regarding NTS

My current NTS is about to expire at the end of August. I passed BEC at the end of May, failed the REG section in early May and am scheduled to take FAR on August 29th. I am about to apply for a new NTS so I can begin taking AUD and my REG retake in October/November. If I apply for a new NTS now and find out in a few weeks that I did not pass FAR, will I be able to add another NTS so that I can retake FAR in the next 6 months. Essentially what I’m curious about is if I can have two separate NTS’ at the same time? Should I wait to figure out my FAR results before applying for a new NTS? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also I am taking the exam in Illinois if that makes any difference.

Yes, you can have two NTS at the same time. What I would recommend i sending in your re-application now because it takes a week or two before its gets processed, then they ask you to select your sections right? So at that point just wait another two weeks until scores come out, then you'll know what sections to take. Usually you get the payment coupon really quick after selecting the sections, so at least this way you've already got the application processed and approved.
