Does anyone from CO know if CO sends out a different letter after you pass your last section? So far I’ve received the score letters about a week after they were released by AICPA, however, this time I have yet to get anything. Just wondering if this last letter takes longer.

    Thanks!

Apparently CO does not send anything extra or special with the last score notification. I just received my last score notice in the mail today, a few days later than the other 3.

Zena – Don't feel bad. Indiana doesn't send anything either. We don't even get anything when our license are issued except an email congratulating us and your license number. If you want anything you have to pay for a pocket card. If you want a “pretty” certificate you can order one through a company but it is not considered official and it cost big bucks from $75 – $200 depending on size, model and frame. Congrats on finishing.

You will receive your final score report followed by another letter that tells you to go to http://www.nasbatools.com to obtain licensing information for the CPA certificate. All the application materials are online, you'll find it through the NASBA tools website. Once you fill out the form, and get a CERTIFIED check or money order for the $100 application fee (because after spending several thousand dollars and hours on passing the exam, you are going to write a bad check to the state board for $100) you mail it all in. Several WEEKS later you'll either get a wallet size license (so anticlimactic) in the mail or a letter telling you that they need more information. If you want a wall certificate in Colorado, you have to order it separately for $25 – I got mine last week – it's not that impressive looking, but it's all mine!

Congratulations!!!! It's good to be done!

Thanks! I can't say I am disappointed, I'm used to the AICPA/NASBA/BOA modus operandi: quick to take money, slow to release information, no freebies. Though, to be fair, I now have a “direct” contact at NASBA for CO and she has been great about answering my questions quickly.

I am kind of half done as I still need to get those 1800 hours of experience… one at the time…

I did just receive a letter (today) from nasba congratulating me on passing all 4 sections and wishing me well in

my future career. This arrived almost 2 months after receiving my final score.
