    Hi Jeff,

I sat for FAR on 8/1/09 and I am in Masssachusetts. 8/1/09 is technically within the Wave 1 cutoff. According to the MA NASBA Coordinator the AICPA did not release my score yet. When I go to CPA ES on the Nasba website, and type in my jurisdiction number, my application indicates that I sat for the exam but Nasba did not receive my score. The Nasba rep said that I have to wait until Wave 2 to receive any updates. Just wondering if you have any other ideas….? This is my fourth and final part of the exam, and my credit for AUD expires in November 09…..so I'm very anxious. Since I didn't receive my score yet, I actually started studying for FAR again, assuming that I failed….so it's really depressing. Any suggestions that you could provide would be greatly appreciated. By the way, your website ROCKS!!!! 🙂

I am taking FAR on 10/8. Any suggestions on what really to focus in on at this point? Is there a lot of non profit and governmental on the exam??

Kroyal0216 – even though it's hard take a deep breath and stop freaking. Your situation doesn't imply you failed – you may have gotten a new simiulation which put you in waive two (regardless of your date). Good luck!

cbj1322-nfp and govt questions DO show up on the exam -but not nearly as difficult and as much as financial. I would focus on financial if I were – but do spend a little time on nfp and govt definitions.

I agree with anastasiaps – the governmental and non-profit stuff is pretty general. Know the types of journal entries for the general fund, know what an encumbrance is, know what types of restrictions there can be, know the different kinds of governmental funds and what they are for. Governmental & non-profit is 16-24% of the exam.

Don't forget to know which financial statements they have to report. Gov & NFP are very different from For Profit statements.

There is a lot of governmental and NFP questions, however if you concentrate on what your review course asks to go through on these chapters, IMHO you should be good to go! The questions are not very tricky or lengthy like the questions from other chapters.

@kroyal-I'm in the same boat, only worse (because it's happening to me, lol). I sat for FAR on 7/13 and have yet to receive my score. I'm so scared that something horrible has happened and my test was lost or that I'll have to sit again.

I just took REG on 8/31 and have already passed AUD & BEC, so I'm freaking too. Hopefully we will both have some good news in a few weeks =)
