Just curious – if your a licensed CPA in Texas and move to Florida, will Florida recognize your license in Texas, or would I need to gain additional experience in public accounting to get licensed in Florida?

I don't remember the exact rules, but Florida and Texas were both pain in the arse states as far as reciprocity. Especially Florida. Florida is highly protectionist towards their people and had some goofy rules on practice. They're tougher than most states on education requirements as I recall, and you need 5 years of experience as a CPA – IN PUBLIC OR GOVERNMENT – to override them.

They also have weird CPE requirements.

    Aaron and always remember, YMMV

I profit from your CPE frustration. You're welcome.
