It used to be about 3 months. Anyone know if that’s changed? Thanks!

From my experience with them thus far, and I could be wrong here (14 week mark hit today), they are the most helpful and responsive if you wait until the end of their communicated range.

However, 14 weeks of waiting makes one quite jaded.

I've gotten very good customer service from both calling and emailing, shockingly quick and helpful employees, unfortunately, they just don't have much useful to tell me yet.

My check was deposited March 28th. Had to actually tell my representative to send my 150hr rule evaluation summary report to the NYSED. They don't do it automatically.

I assume you are checking the NYS CPA website daily to look for your name?
Please advise what they tell you. I figure if we each make an effort to check on the status then no single person will get any marks on their file for being an annoyance.

From experience. Your name will appear on the NYS Office of Professions website a week or two before you receive any kind of notification in the mail. I would check website every other day/twice a week.

I am checking online every day, perhaps a bit compulsively. My 16 week mark will be the 19th so if I don't have a license number online the 21st I will be calling again.

Any updates from NYS to see if they moved the 14-16 week window?

That is a long wait time! T___T Please keep us updated. I just submitted all the paper work for the license last week and planning to call on 8/24. It is tiring to figure out a way to tell potential employers that I am waiting for my official license (without sounding like I am in the process of meeting the 3 E's requirements). I rather just have “CPA” at the end of my name.

Just curious how or why you know when the board is meeting?
I've tried to research more about the CPA board and this whole process and can't seem to find any useful information.

Following up on ReckedRacing's question, I was just wondering how often the board met. One thing I noticed was that a number of people on this forum who submitted their application in March were told 14-16 weeks, whereas a co-worker and I who both submitted our paperwork in April were told 10-12 weeks. Does the board meet sporadically and approve a large number of applications in rapid succession?
