Reciprocity Question

I recently passed the CPA exam and my application for licensing in GA was declined because I don’t meet the 30 credits of upper accounting. Could I register in another state that doesn’t have the same requirement (KY) and use the reciprocity to transfer it to GA?

My worry is that they are going to notice my application was previously declined and not grant me the license transfer in GA. Thanks for the input.

I am going with WA. They don't have education requirements for reciprocal candidates. Very easy to coordinate with them and quick response! Downside – you need to appear for 2 ethics exam for WA state. Not a big deal. Matter of few hours.

Other states I checked includes CA, NY, IL.

CA = need to meet the education
NY = 4 years experience post intl qualification (I don't meet that)
IL = 2 step process plus poor response. They confirmed as no education requirements.

International reciprocal candidate with CA Australia.

    REG: 80 - 24/1 (wiley and ninja)

    WA ethics: 83, 90 (4/3)

    AICPA ethics: 95 (8/3)
