    Hello all,
    I have seen various threads for processing time in “XX” state, but haven’t seen any for Texas. I passed my last exam in June. I just recently obtained the required work experience this week. I mailed the Application for issuance and all required documents on Tuesday. Has anyone applied recently and have an idea of approximately how long this will take? Hoping it’s not as long as some of these other states (NY, CA, etc.).

    Thanks in advance!
    Chandler

    @DTXCPA, for sure there is. It shows on my profile that the fee was received on the 17th, but I didn't get an email until today. I did have to update my email and address though, not sure if that makes any difference.

    State board called this morning and requested a few items of me- namely updated transcript which I didn't think I needed to send since I already had 150 hours and a bachelors degree on file with the, but what's it at this point? Still a chance to receive the license late next week or early the week after.

    That's weird. Not sure why they would need those documents at this stage. As far as license issuance goes, they only issue it on Fridays as far as I'm aware. Hopefully you can get yours on 9/28.

    @DTXCPA I did my rules of professional conduct exam yesterday the 27th. Seems we're on almost the same timeline. Fingers crossed that we get our licenses next Friday.

    @Kris10_i same. And it looks very likely. All the fields on my Texas board account (Ethics, Work Experience etc) were updated this morning. Just waiting on the license now. Lol.

    @Kris10_i

    Any updates? There was a mix-up on mine for months of experience vs. partial months. Long story short, I had to wait until 10/01 to get the last “partial” month I needed for one year. Guess its my fault for assuming with the state board LOL. Anyways, got everything turned in and I plan on receiving and completing the professional conduct exam this afternoon. Wondering if there is a chance I could be issued this Friday… probably wishful thinking.

    @Chandler, 10/12 seems more likely in your situation imo, but you never know with Texas board. Lol. They might surprise you. Hope we all get it this Friday.

    Hey all! looking like you guys are close. I finally got the paperwork back from my boss today on the work experience. Its all sitting in an fedex envelope for delivery tomorrow AM.

    The only thing I believe I have outstanding now is waiting on them to process the paperwork and to get the link for the Rules of Professional Conduct exam. Any tips on the best way to study for this? Did you guys study?

    Heck yeah @Paulb, are you an alumni? I took this course (the website looks like its from the mid 90s, but it's pretty cheap and worked like a charm.

    @HDCPA
    , I don't think most people study for the Rules of Professional Conduct exam since it is open-book. I'm planning on taking it tonight. I'll let you know how it goes.

    @hdcpa I don't really have any study tips for the rules of professional conduct exam. Like @chandler said, it is open book and once you start it, you have 48 hours before you have to submit. It is pretty straight forward and no trick questions. I actually did read all of the rules beforehand just because I had some down time at work, but definitely not necessary. I still looked up every answer to be sure so it was probably a waste of time to read it all before I took it. Good luck!
