I’ve ventured into the Health issues section, but this particular thread is supposed to help AVOID said issues.

Let’s share what we are doing to try and maintain our health while studying. What are you guys doing for workouts? Workout DVDs? Buying home equipment? Gym lifting? Cardio only? Any particular workout programs you are using or are you freestyling it? What time of day do you workout?

Are you guys trying to keep your eating habits under control? What are some good healthy study snacks you like?

While it may be difficult for these exams to not affect your health at all, it is important to minimize negative affects. Let’s support each other and share our tips/techniques!

@InterFC1 – I've been meaning to get some protein. I'll definitely look into it!!

    R - *77*(02/'13)-Becker & NINJA
    A - 71('11); *87*(04/'13)-Becker & NINJA
    F - *76*(08/'13)-Becker & NINJA - "server upgrade" survivor
    B - 60('11); *82*(10/'13) -Becker & NINA

@neika822 – A protein supplement is a MUST! There are quite a few reputable online stores where you can purchase a 5 lb. container of Optimum (generally regarded as the best overall whey protein) for around $50. Just don't go to GNC or a place like that and get ripped off! 🙂

Yeah I actually use the Double Chocolate flavor in Optimum Nutrition. I haven't tried any of the other flavors but I think I'm going to try a vanilla ish one this weekend to go into the smoothies for my week of smoothies coming up. I also think I'm going to try chia seeds? idk…on second thought, probably not…I'm a pretty basic girl…I'll just keep it simple 🙂

I'm off to bed…waking up early for my 4:45 am lifting/HIIT session 🙂 Nightie night folks!

@CPA4birthdaypresent – I used to use the Double Chocolate flavor; I've actually moved onto the Optimum Natural Whey and it's just regular chocolate… no artificial ingredients and a couple less grams of carbohydrates as well. Either whey (haha), you can't go wrong with Optimum.

I'm so out of the protein loop.

    Thanks InterFC.

As far as protein goes, I buy whatever is cheapest. That happens to always be 5lb bags of EAS whey from BJs wholesale. $35 for 5lbs isn't bad at all.

    Morning folks!

    Morning!

Fit: (yesterday) dog walk, walk at lunch and then I voluntarily laced up my sneakers even though it was pouring rain and did a 3.1 mile run. It was glorious. I even cut 12 seconds off my time from Tuesday! “Slept in” this morning so no dog walk, but I will walk at lunch and it is a dog field trip day so tonight should be fun…I mean isn't running around like a fool with your dogs at the dog park fun!?

Oh….a few weeks ago I started adding a weight lifting routine (no idea if that is the appropriate word) to my overall workouts in a week. Starting to see results. Even had to ditch a sweater whose arms are now too big!

Study: Read through another section of the book last night and going to get in a few minutes of reading before work. Goal have all of the first major section read and notes taken by the end of the weekend.

Training for a half marathon post studying!

I noticed a new ab muscle that I never had before! Woohoo! Oddly, one side is larger than the other… but that's okay 🙂 Haven't seen much tone in my thighs, but I'm going to really amp up my lunges and running.
