Just to put a positive spin on this process, did anyone get so stressed out during all of this (studying, test taking, exam score waiting, etc.) that they actually ate a lot less the whole time? Don't know if it was nerves or what, but I ended up losing some beer weight thanks to this whole thing, and that's after I stopped going to the gym. Silver lining perhaps?

I'm pretty sure I ate and drank my way through the anxiety of the weekend. I look like crap and I feel like I look like crap. And I just feel like crap. Pity me with a passing score, FAR!

I went from panic mode to picnic mode back to panic mode. Was hitting gym 5 am stopped for last two weeks of late night AUD cramming. Finally got back in gear this morning, feel good but now back to AUD take two. Put on slot of wait since back injury few years ago then right into masters then cpa. Time to kick my own butt.

If you want to be a CPA, you gotta look like a CPA!

so far, I have gained fat and lost some muscle due to no exercising during my studying period. I did use the score waiting period to get some exercise done…as my waist is getting an inch bigger, I feel an inch closer to my CPA. I just don't have time for anything else after work and study, beside these two things all I wanted is to sleep.

I will try to get my body back after I pass all four parts.

This has been a top concern of me. I use gym to relieve the stress. I found it very useful while studying for the CPA for the first two months but now the issue is work is starting..

I will be working at public and heard so many different horror stories about how work takes over life and with cpa on the side – IS there any way – I will be able to squeeze in at least an hour or even half an hour of run into my life? Some one in here has to be working in public and doing all that – If so please provide some tips =)

@letsfixthis – I was wondering if anyone else had experienced that. I can't eat when I'm stressed out/extremely busy let alone eat alot. One month during the summer while studying I dropped 8lbs in just that month. I guess thats the only positive thing that has come out of this experience for me so far, since I have yet to pass any section! lol I think nerves are a big factor.

I love to exercise, but I ended up having to give it up almost entirely while studying for FAR. I didn't end up gaining much weight, but I definitely have less muscle and more fat than I did last year. I've been working out pretty steadily for a couple of weeks now and I'm slowly starting to see results.

    @letsfixthis and luckycharm,

Sometimes when I'm super-stressed I lose my appetite entirely and end up losing weight. Of course this wrecks my metabolism, so I pile right back on as soon as I start eating regularly again.

@Allyson, Yay for no more eyelid twitching! Mine finally stopped too about a week ago. I used to worry that folks would think I was winking at them when I wasn't.

Since last April I gained 15 pounds. Now since I sat for FAR on Aug 29th I've lost 8 of those 15. I want to lose more so I think this time around I'm planning on incorporating more workouts with my studying. I'm planning on working out early in the am and if I have time studying for a bit before I have to get the girls up for the day. Then studying during lunch and after the girls go to bed.

I've resumed daily shaving of the legs and scrubbing the feet with a pumice stone. No more half-@ssed showers. I feel a lot less WT now.

I've resorted to at least a beer a night to help keep my sanity and relax. I haven't gained any weight though since I've been going on a daily 3 mile run which helps with the stress. I am SO glad to know I am not the only one with the twitching eye. How about twitching foot muscle. Anyone else? LOL

LOL. I'm still new to this whole CPA thing… I love the different order you've put the abbreviated section names in, misanthrope87. Hadn't seen that one, yet! That's good stuff.

Laughter is so important. I find myself getting WAY too serious with all this studying and working. It's amazing how much stress is relieved by a good laugh. I have to laugh every now and then, otherwise my wife will start thinking she married frankenstein, and my 2-year-old will stop wanting to play with me.

So take a break every now and then from all this grueling, death-struggle-studying just to get some laughs. It will go a long way.

    BARF…. lol.

@tbstew I actually didn't come up with that. Surprisingly, I don't see too many people spelling it that way! Why not? CPA exam makes me wanna barf that's for sure. Haha. Yes, we must learn to enjoy at least the little things in life during this whole process
