Becker CPA Review Mock Exam Score vs Actual CPA Exam Score

I figured since so many people ask, it’d be easier to have it all in one thread for reference. Good idea?

Calculating this by taking the average MCQ*60% and average sim*40%

Far mock 1: 51 no review

Far mock 2: 65 silly mistakes

    Actual: 82

The best advice I can give is identify the areas you struggle with in the mock exams and study the crap out of them. Also hammer MCQS.

Studying for the CPA exam is easy. Its like riding a bike. Except the bike is on fire. And the ground is on fire. And everything is on fire. Because you're in H-E Double hockey sticks

Scored a 54 and 62 on becker practice exam. Scored a 86 in actual. I’m probably the minority thou. Can’t focus unless it’s the real deal

I took the first ME about 10 days before and the second ME 4 days before the exam. The second ME was on a Sunday. I took three days off before the exam and did 80% MCQs and 20% SIMS for review.

    ME #1 51
    ME #2 59

    Actual 85

I'm not sure I agree with other that the ME are useless. I did feel deflated after taking them but it made me study harder. I though for sure I failed as I left the exam. The MCQs were easier compared to Becker, but I still had questions I didn't even have a 50/50 guess. The SIMS were worse. I had three SIMs that covered areas I was weak in. My only guess is that questions I got wrong were throw aways.

I have taken 3 parts of the exam and find I score much lower on the mock exam than the real exam.
I always sike myself out due to the low score on the mock exam. Do not let a low becker mock exam score scare you….
I usually take the first mock exam about 4-5 days before the actual exam and the second mock exam 2-3 days before the actual exam.
I always take both mock exams to have more questions as practice and also practice the exam environment. I replicate the real exam by locking myself in a room for 4 hours and only taking designated breaks. This will prepare you for the real exam.

    I have used only Becker

AUD – Test was pretty much what I expected and I got the score in a range of what I was expecting

    ME1: 81
    ME2: 88
    Actual: 90

REG – Felt terrible leaving the exam. There had to have been 2-3 SIMS that were discarded as “trialquestions. I was very surprised to see my score.
