I have a quick question regarding multiple choice questions on the FAR exam. I recently took it in mid-august. I heard that if the questions get easier as you work through the three testlets, then you probably failed. But if the questions got harder, it means you more than likely passed. Is this true? Thank you.

In a nutshell, that is true.

Or you studied so well that they all seemed relatively easy.

This isn't necessarily true. They don't get "easier" – they just stay on "medium" and it takes more correct answers to pass.

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 76
    REG - 92

    Jeff…

I'm going to be honest with you… This doesn't make me feel very good. In AUD testlet 1 I was sitting there thinking "this doesnt look so bad" and testlets 2 and 3 got the same response. Well maybe 3 was a little more difficult. Guess I only need to wait about 3-5 more days (hopefully) to find out but I guess I'm a little less hopeful now. 🙁

What if it goes Easy – Hard – Medium? Because that is definitely how my testlets felt like they went.

    Cricket,

I wouldn't sweat it. I took my last part, FAR, on 8/28 and I over studied for it since if I fail I would lose my BEC credit. Conservatively, I probably answered 24-25 correct out of each MC testlet and the difficulty of the questions remained relatively unchanged for each testlet. I knew both simulations very, very well so I am pretty confident I passed despite the MC difficulty remaining unchanged.
