hell yeah! I studied just enough lol @EricJune 29, 2018 at 1:54 pm #1856737AnonymousInactive
Same. I wish I did this exam 10 years ago. I turned 33 the day before score release – greatest birthday gift ever!!June 29, 2018 at 1:59 pm #1856740AnonymousInactive
I understand that the ethics exam is basically like a take home test, similar to the CPE ones. However, for those in California, is there a company where I have to purchase the exam specifically? Or do I basically have options from different companies? And which company do you guys recommend?June 29, 2018 at 2:01 pm #1856749AnonymousInactive
@Eric happy belated! The best present EVER for sure. I am so happy we finished right before summer. I did not want to give up another summer slaving away while everyone is doing fun things outside….June 29, 2018 at 2:04 pm #1856752AnonymousInactive
Thank you !! Same here – summer studying was the absolute worst ! That’s when I failed FAR and AUD back to back last year lolJune 29, 2018 at 2:33 pm #1856827AnonymousInactive
One more week until it's back to golfing every weekend. The only thing keeping me motivated.June 29, 2018 at 3:25 pm #1856953AnonymousInactive
Goodluck @Greg! You got this!June 29, 2018 at 3:52 pm #1856983tmacpaParticipant
took ethics today.
Overall it was a great time. The exam froze on me at question 34 and I had to restart and remember my answers.
And then after question 45 it somehow submitted itself and didn't let me answer question 46.
I was relieved to see I passed the first time with a 93 though lolJune 30, 2018 at 10:24 am #1857955OTK1995Participant
You wanna know something… there is no question 46. It jumped right to scoring after question 45 for me.June 30, 2018 at 12:19 pm #1858174MadhavParticipant
When should one do Ethic Exam after passing CPA exam?July 1, 2018 at 6:24 am #1859281tmacpaParticipant
@OTK1995 weird. In the printout of the test there was a question 46.
@Madhav if your state board requires it for licensure and you want to get licensed ASAP then probably also ASAP.July 2, 2018 at 9:34 am #1860934AnonymousInactive
yo! those taking AICPA ethics – where is this practice test that is basically the same as the real test? I am in resources and opened all the pdfs in there but which one is it in? THANKS ALL!July 2, 2018 at 9:40 am #1860952AnonymousInactive
nvm i think I found it 🙂July 2, 2018 at 10:50 am #1861264AnonymousInactive
You found it if you were able to open the 250+ page PDF document!July 2, 2018 at 1:22 pm #1861639AnonymousInactive
Hoping someone can answer this question!! So I just passed all 4 exams (WOOHOOOOO) about to move onto the ethics exam for CA.
I got my bachelors degree but am short of the 150 unit requirement so I'm taking classes at Foothill College. It's a community college that offers online courses.
You have to have 24 semester units in business and 24 in accounting but can I go over the 24 units in account to get me to the 150 units I need or do they have to be in something non-accounting related? I'd rather take all accounting classes! If anyone knows the answer please let me know!July 2, 2018 at 1:47 pm #1861663AnonymousInactive
@CollegeAthletetoCPA maybe we are actually talking about two different things? Where/what is this practice test you found?!July 2, 2018 at 1:53 pm #1861669AnonymousInactive
@eric its under resources, and then participant manual i think its #2 or #3. I have the PDF version/online version. The test is the last pages of the 258 pg document. I have heard thats the exact same ethics test they give you at the end of the lessons.July 2, 2018 at 1:54 pm #1861672AnonymousInactive
@carmienti I do not know CA requirements, but Idaho the remaining credits can be in anything. I took some Basque studies class and sports marketing haha.July 2, 2018 at 1:59 pm #1861702AnonymousInactive
@CollegeAthletetoCPA wooo thank you! I just saved it; have yet to begin looking through 🙂July 2, 2018 at 2:50 pm #1861807AnonymousInactive
@collegeathletetocpa Awesome thanks! I think it's the same.July 3, 2018 at 9:29 am #1863331AnonymousInactive
I plan on getting through this by the end of the week; quarter close is in full effect right now!
Also, if anyone has not yet requested transcripts the process is fairly easy as my university has now outsourced this to a third party. I was able to get a PDF version of my transcript within 24 hours!July 3, 2018 at 9:30 am #1863334AnonymousInactive
We dont have to send transcripts again. Didnt you send them when you applied to start taking exams? You have to again? @Eric? Yes – our year end is 6/30…so I am in the same boat as you. I bought it for now and started looking at it, but havent done it.July 3, 2018 at 9:46 am #1863373AnonymousInactive
@CollegeAthletetoCPA I was thinking the same thing, however (for CT anyways) it states within your submission to include your transcripts as proof of your 150 credits…. Brutal – a 6/30 year end!! Fireworks for you tomorrow!July 3, 2018 at 10:04 am #1863379AnonymousInactive
ya whoever picked this year end sucks. We go to my boyfriends Lake Cabin, and last year in public accounting I could take the whole week off….not anymore 🙁 haha. Oh man – good luck with ethics and transcripts!July 5, 2018 at 3:51 pm #1866856AnonymousInactive
Woo hoo 93! Now to get all of this paperwork filled out and sent over to my friends at the State Board for CT!!July 6, 2018 at 9:12 am #1867705AnonymousInactive
do any of you know on this chain how many attempts you get? i know you are limited to 3 attempts online, but are the written attempts unlimited? i asked this on a seperate chain and didnt' get any responses.July 6, 2018 at 11:31 am #1867936AnonymousInactive
You would have to reach out to your state to get the answer on the mailed in submissions.July 6, 2018 at 2:55 pm #1868275AnonymousInactive
@eric how long did it take? any tips? hahaJuly 7, 2018 at 4:33 am #1868815AnonymousInactive
It took a few hours to wrap up my last library visit lol. I would definitely try and get it out of the way and that PDF was a very efficient way for me to get it done!
