Misery – Failed AUD and REG

I just got my Audit score today and failed with a 70.

When I took the exam in August, I thought I had done very well! I wonder if anyone else encountered the same scenario?

I also failed REG with a 73, but I knew I choked with my time allocation. I actually scored higher than the avg. with the MCQs.

I have been using Yaeger since April '09 and passed BEC with a 77, maybe I was lucky?

My next exam is FAR in October '09, but confidence is now shaken and thinking about switching tp another review course, but don't have a clue which one? Has anyone switch from Yaeger to another review course with success?

Honestly, you're so close I wouldn't buy new review materials.

I would hit your MCQ's really hard and pinpoint what you're weak in and maybe read those areas in the wiley book or re-watch those lectures. Good luck.

Thanks for your comment. I have NO idea where I went wrong in Audit. I guess I will wait for the score analysis to find out. I will take your advice and hit the MCQs harder and make the best effort….

Don't totally take my advice though because I've only taken REG (and got a 65, no less!) but I bet others will be here soon with advice!

You're so close though so don't give up!! Jeff has a good article on his site about failing the test and evaluating your study habits, etc. Might want to look that up too. 🙂

I think you should stick with your materials too, you are very close. I just did horrible on FAR and I am switching to yaeger from becker. I think for audit you need to memorize all the diff types of reports and then do mcq's over and over. Same for REG- just do the mcq's over and over and memorize the business law portions. Good luck! You may want to try cpareviewforfree.com for some additional mcq's. they worked well for me when i studied for audit.

Can anyone recommend another source to use for the Regulation simulations besides Becker?

    Tampa – you're very close.

I didn't use Yaeger for AUD, but my friend passed with an 86 using Yaeger AUD in the July/August 2009 window.

Have you purchased their cram? That may help.

    Are you taking crazy-insane notes?

That's the only way (taking notes) that I know how to do it.

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 76
    REG - 92
