I just failed REG and am taking BEC Monday after Thanksgiving (though now i’m not so sure how ready I am). I still have to take FAR and AUD. Do I take them in Jan/Feb testing window or do I take REG again right away? Or do I take all 3? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    I'll Pass Eventually
    REG (67, 66), BEC (79), FAR (5/26/10), AUD (August 2010)

    glutenator,

You can only take the same section once per quarter ( Since you just took REG this quarter I don't think you can take it again). I think you should plan on taking REG in Jan. I failed REG in July, and I recently took it again and passed. I went back and studied everything ( not just the things that I was weak on).

    glutenator,

I would probably take REG early in the Jan/Feb window and then try to fit in one of your other sections late in the same window. Then, if all goes well, you only have one test to take in the April/May window.

Thanks, both of you. I was thinking of retaking REG very first of January, since I'm off for two weeks at Christmas, and will have ample time to restudy the info. I was def going to take another one in that window, but was unsure if I should try and squeeze in the other 2, (AUD and FAR). Of course I have to consider what if I don't pass BEC and need to retake that.

    glutenator,

I don't think I would try to fit in three in one testing window. I would take one in early January, one in mid to late February, and reload for one in early April (if you don't work at a tax accounting firm).

Yes, you should definately take REG early January…..make sure the holidays don't get in the way of your studying…

Also, where do you think you went wrong with REG on the 1st time?

For BEC, make sure you super hit hard IT and Business Structure! Know all your formulas and move fast during the exam and if you read a problem and don't know how to solve right-a-way, guess B and move on, you're going to need the time!
