    Hi,

I planned on appearing FAR in November end but my application process got delayed and i received my payment coupon only today. I found that no seats are available for Nov in the testing centers around, so i’m planning to appear FAR and AUD in Jan. I want to make the best use of my time, because i have plenty now (I am going to study full time). I’d be very thankful if you could drop in suggestion about how to go for it.

Some particular things i’d like to ask:

1). How long do you take to complete a chapter? — I take about 7-8 hrs per chapter on an avg. (including video, mcq, some simulations)

2). How often do you review previous chapters? — I realized i need to revise more often…i’m starting to forget the previous chapters…

3). What resources are you using? Does that make much difference?

4). How updated are AUD materials? Can I do with 2007/08 Wiley book and 2008 video? I know there are lots of updates on FAR…I need to get a new one for 2010.

5). Any other suggestion, material, blog, websites, tutorials….anything that you think would be useful to me…and to other new CPA candidates.

    Thank you so much!!

The first thing I would do is read my e-book…it will answer many of your questions.

I don't know of any resource that you would need to pass the exam that isn't on this site/forum/blog…it's pretty comprehensive.

    Take care,

    Jeff
