I put all zero's in 3 (time ran out) and got 74.

I think I only did ok. Maybe averaged 75 percent correct
February 2, 2013 at 5:47 am #393760MCLKTParticipantWell, I felt good through the MCQ, I thought they were trying to trick me because they weren't *too* difficult. I must have done well. Because I was expecting between a 70-72. I know I could have passed that. The problem is now… I'm restudying and I feel too complacent. I know I'm not “attacking” like I did last quarter. I really need to turn up the notch so I don't have to study this for a 3rd time.

February 2, 2013 at 9:21 pm #393762whatamidoingMemberFelt pretty good about most of the MCQ on my FAR exam but for SIMs I bombed 1 of them, guessed on a 2nd (likely the pre-test SIM), felt ok on a 3rd, and did fairly well on the others. I got an 85.
F - 85 (11/2012)
R - 87 (1/2013)
A - 92 (2/2013)
B - 90 (4/2013)DONE!
February 2, 2013 at 9:29 pm #393763KeelyMemberI didn't know what I was doing on practically any of the REG SIMs. I think I got the research question, but the rest might as well have been written in a foreign language. I got an 82, but I know I pretty much aced the MCQs.
BEC: (4/2012) 88
AUD: (5/2012) 91
REG: (8/2012) 82

February 2, 2013 at 9:52 pm #393765AnonymousInactiveDoing really well on the MCQs clearly provides lots of cushion for later disaster on the sims. I killed my FAR MCQs and then embarrassed myself utterly on most of the sims (leaving two essentially blank and guessing wildly on three of the others). Still made it through.
February 2, 2013 at 10:01 pm #393766MintsRGoodParticipantMy sims for REG were nasty! I am firm believer of scanning all the sims first, ranking your confidence, and starting with your highest confidence sim and working your way down regardless of the order presented.
Of the 6 presented…2 I felt confident in my abilities, 3 were difficult, and the last was completely F-ed up beyond all recognition. I had to read the fact pattern multiple times just to understand the questions and realized it was going to be a long multi-step series of calculations on a topic that was not my strong suit! I saved the worst for last, made my best attempt, and filled zeros in the boxes that I had no better ideas for because time was running very low!
I knew I had done very well on MC's because I received a medium-difficult-difficult set of testlets, but I still felt very upset leaving prometric. For my REG prep, I used a secondhand Becker textbook, Ninja Notes and Audio, and I did every question in the Wiley test bank twice, as well as all of the sims twice…but you never know what exam day will bring you! After receiving my score of a 75, I can only conclude that one of my high confidence sims was pretest and my difficult and FUBAR sim were graded! REG is over and an number of 75 or better is a relief…but those sims made things too close for my comfort!
I'm sitting for AUD on the 25th and am making sure to drill all the sims on Wiley Test Bank at least twice before exam day as I did for REG! I am the first to admit that I didn't put in nearly the amount of work in that I should have on sims the first time I sat for Audit, and it cost me a passing score and a lot of heartbreak…I certainly don't want to see ANOTHER 71 on March 11th! π
Good Luck Everyone!!!!!

And Mints, I totally agree with u on your methodology of ranking the sims based on confidence and starting with the easiest. I do that on every exam.
February 2, 2013 at 11:04 pm #393768MintsRGoodParticipantThanks azCPA2B! In my unqualified opinion…if you have NO clue on a sim then why spend precious time freaking out, desperately picking through the research tab for a clue, getting upset, and panicing about something you have no control over when there are sims out there that you ARE proficient at and can pick up points! Again, hard lessons learned from my first go at AUD! I hope you see a passing score on REG!!! π

NINJA for AUDFebruary 3, 2013 at 2:25 am #393771AnonymousInactive@azCPA2B – I'm in the same boat as you right now. I'm very anxious. I hope we passed.
I felt like I did really well on 5 of the 6 sims. The was hoping the one I didn't know very well was a pretest BUT I ended up getting 2 research sims. So it's my guess that 1 of the research sims was not graded.
This sucks because I know I got the 2 research questions right. Stoopid test.
