Just Another REG story

I’m just writing this to let off some steam and for reference in case I have to take this test again. Short story on my history with this exam. I took it 5 months ago along with the FAR. I was CERTAIN that I had passed REG and failed FAR. I would have bet money on it. Turned out I had passed FAR with an 82 and failed REG with a 73.

Fast forward to today. I literally just walked out of the prometric testing center 15 minutes ago and this time I feel like I failed it, which has me somewhat optimistic… I really don’t know how to feel. I’ll break down the test sections:

MCQ #1. I had no idea what the first 4 questions were, which didn’t feel good. I flagged about 8 questions, because I was unsure. Generally, I felt pretty bad about this section.

MCQ #2. These questions were easier, which made me believe that I did bad on the first section – doubts set in. Even though I knew these questions were easier, I probably only did marginally better than section 1 Flagged about 5-6 questions and felt not much better about this section.

MCQ #3. These questions were easy as well, which made me believe I did poorly on section 2. I only flagged 3-4 of these questions as being unsure of. I think I did well on this section.

Simulations: My first time around taking this exam, I was weak on the simulations. This time around I felt I did pretty well. I thought they were generally pretty easy. Two sim questions I was unsure of:

I pray I don’t have to take this test again… It has been a pain in my side.

I have BEC November 30th. So I’m going to put this one behind me for now and start studying for BEC.

BTW, if you made it this far, the ninja notes are definitely worth it! I used CPAexcel and the ninja notes.

I recently took the exam for REG. I flagged 3 questions in SIMS and I'm thinking one was a pre-test, and 50% of those other two are SIMS I answered incorrectly.

    Testlet #1 is manageable

Testlet #2 is a little bit hard

Testlet #3 is a little bit hard

My job now demands a LOT of my time and I can't study for my exams. Thankfully, some of the topics that I didn't study didn't appear on the exam.

Only the SIMS are the downer IMO.

I do hope I passed though!

    FAR - 92 02/2013
    AUD - 90 05/2013
    REG - 85 10/2013
    BEC - 80 12/2013

    I'M DONE. THANK YOU LORD!

I also passed reg with an 85! It seems my multiple choice are my weakest and my SIMS are the strongest. You really can't tell the outcome of your exam….

    FAR - 92 02/2013
    AUD - 90 05/2013
    REG - 85 10/2013
    BEC - 80 12/2013

I took REG on 10/14/13 and I left Prometric CONVINCED I passed. I had NO doubt about it. When I got my score last Friday, I hung my head and cried. Not only did I fail, but I failed miserably. My first words to my husband upon seeing that score were ‘Screw this, I am done.” This hit me way harder than failing BEC in August because I knew I failed BEC.

But, I am not giving up. I am retaking BEC on 12/5/13 and IF I pass that, then REG 2/24/14
