REG….feeling discouraged

Just took Reg and I feel like it KILLED me. I made a 70 and 77 on Becker’s practice exams, and I’ve heard most people score higher on the actual exam, so I felt a bit confident going in. The part that killed me was the simulations…I think I knew about half of them, and the other half were practically guesses. Does anyone have a similar experience? I sure hope I’m not doomed to fail…

I left the exam 100% convinced I was going to have to retake it. The MCQs were ok, but on some of the sims I wasn't even sure what they were asking me to DO. You're not alone; many of us walked out of there confident in a fail and ended up with a pass. BTW, your practice exam scores were A LOT higher than mine!

@kma everyone has felt the same way you did walking out of the test center. I said this in another thread…but I walked out telling the Prometric staff I would see them again in a month for a re-take for REG. The SIMS were just brutal with two SIMS that were WTF-difficulty. The Tax Code was of no use so I just guessed on them. If the test was brutal for you, it was brutal for everyone else as well. Keep your head up!

    AUD: 98 (4/13)
    BEC: 84 (5/13)
    FAR: 91 (7/13)
    REG: 91 (8/13)

At least u are pretty confident about half of your simulation, which is good .

If you know you did well in MCQ , then you will be fine. Don't stress much about it

    REG -63│ 84!!
    BEC- 59│70│ 71 │78!
    AUD- 75!
    FAR- 87!

Without violating the exam rules…would you say that there is a lot of detailed tax law tested, a lot of the exceptions or phase-outs? Or more general tax?

    Becker Online - IL Candidate

    FAR: 85
    AUD: 85
    BEC: 78
    REG: 90
