Is it normal with REG to feel like you keep forgetting the material? I’ve gone over the tax portion 3 times now and each time I start answering MCQ’s on a new section, I find myself getting the first few wrong because I forgot a rule or exception… Then I start answering them correctly and I end up trending well. I’m not going to have that “correction” on exam day so I’m a little concerned.

Repetition is key. If you don't retain something after going over it 3 times, then go over it again. Still not retaining? Go over it again. Keep going until you do.

I used to think I sucked at memorizing. I, then, met an AUD lecturer that said, “It's not required, but I tell my students to memorize the audit report / review report / compilation report for verbatim, if they have the time. You can look up stuff on your SIMs, but it saves a min or two here and there.” Those reports are about a page and a half each. I thought he was joking, but turns out that he was serious.

I took it as a challenge. I posted those reports on my wall and read them out loud every morning for 2 weeks. I'd then hop in the shower and attempt to recite those reports. First few days, I couldn't even recite 2-3 sentences per report. 2 weeks later? I could recite all 3 reports for verbatim.
