Hi all,

So I just passed my last exam section on 8/25, and I’m still on cloud 9. Thus, I can’t get my head on straight to figure out how to do the ethics exam in California lols. I purchased the study material yesterday. All I know that it is an open book exam, and I have 6 attempts to pass with a minimum of 90%. But the question is, when do I take the exam? No info to be found on the Cal PETH website. Please help =.=!

Also, I was born in January, odd year number, so if I apply to get my initial license by the end of this year, I will have to renew it again on January next year? I am debating whether I should wait so that I don’t have to reapply/repay when having the license for only 4 months or just apply it now for not risking that my manager might change her mind not to sign the experience paper 🙁 What should I do guys?

First off, congratulations! Secondly, I'll preface this with I'm not in CA, nor am I familiar with CA requirements. Hopefully someone else can chime in with ethics exam help. In regards to licensure, I'd apply right away. Like, yesterday! According to information I found on the CalCPA site, initial license fees are prorated.

There should be a link in your confirmation email that takes you to the test page. I suggest you print out the test and mark your answers on the printout. Then go back in and click on the answers you have chosen.
