Hi all,

I submitted my license application through NASBA on Jan 21. My application was reviewed by the board March 30. Anyone knows after the board reviews the application how long it takes to make the decision weather to grant the license or reject? Also if officers in NASBA had no inquiries or anything in my application and it has been placed in the board agenda. Is it a good sign that more Likely the board will approve the application? I appreciate all your answers. Thanks in advance.

Mine went through a year ago without much delay. You do have to wait for the board meeting after NASBA submits your application to the MT Board. The MT board is very concerned about how your experience is verified and whether your attesting CPA is your supervisor. As long as you submit the documentation as they require it you will be fine. There are audio recordings of recent meetings available on the Board’s website and you can listen to them review each candidate’s application and vote. If you don’t get through the first time they will work with you to improve your documentation and get you through the next time. I posted on the process at length here you can search for that. If I find I will post it.

I just reread your post. Check the minutes from the meeting. They decide in the meeting whether you are approved or need more documentation.

They will update the agenda with the minutes in the next few days. You will see it! Once the minutes were posted I was able to verify my license online soon after. They are exciting moments when you hear your name, then listen to them vote, and announce approval! I waited a long time for mine! I love the MT Board of Accountancy for making their process so sensible and accessible. Post when you find out! Good luck! 🍀👍
