@jeff – I am sure you have thought about this more than the 15 seconds I just spent on it, but is there a particular reason the site doesnt utilize some sort of “Like” button like facebook or “thumbs up” like LinkedIn? I dont think we need a dislike or thumbs down to counter, but its always fun to provide some feedback to certain posts.

So I see a FB like button towards the top of the thread. Are we able to like individual posts, or just the threads?

In utilizing facebook, does that take away the anonymity that we enjoy?

Haha, I dont want to create a bunch of work for you. I've just been spending a lot of time in the LinkedIn groups and I really like how they have the little thumbs up on the bottom right that counts how many people like a particular post. I may be in the minority on this one, who knows.

Good ideas…the problem is that I run my forum using BBpress, which doesn't get a lot of development love, but it works awesome with wordpress. I didn't see any linkin plugins ;(

So I know nothing about web design or forums, but what I am suggesting wouldnt involve a separate application like Facebook or LinkedIn. It would just be for A71 using our A71 usernames. It sounds like you might not have that option through BBpress. That sounds kind of odd though, they must have something simple like that.

bbpress seems to be the red-headed step-brother…no coding seems to be going on with it. We are looking at moving over to a killer to platform in the future though. Always appreciate the feedback and try to implement where I can.
