I was a little hesitant to go watch it, but to my surprise, it was awesome! I keep reading about people having bad test experiences so far in this window. Go watch this movie, it will get your mind off the CPA test 🙂

I agree with you. My wife read the books, and I though I was getting dragged to another “Twilight” type experience. To my pleasant surprise, The Hunger Games was an incredible movie!

@Witch, me too! I was like UGH another chick-flick Twilighty story…puke me now… but I was pleasantly surprised and I have been talking about it all day at work lol

@Ashley how does the 3rd book end? I'm too anxious to wait for the next movie and too lazy and cheap to buy/read the books lol

I was waiting for the 3rd book when it came out. That was a while ago and now I can't remember! D: I know it seemed rushed at the end and there was lots of excitement!

I had actually picked up the hunger games book before the movie came out, but when I realized the movie was coming out, I knew I had to get my butt in gear and read the books! Let's just say that once I got 50 pages into the first book, I couldn't put it down until I had finished all three books (Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay). The books are 10 times better than the movie, BUT the movie is still fantastic. GO READ THE BOOKS!!! Jenuno — email me if you want to know how it ends but I'm not releasing spoilers on here lol

I'm not a Harry Potter or Twilight fan (love LOTR!) but since I saw someone reading Hunger Games on her iphone during intermediate accounting class, I'm now curious! I definitely plan to check it out. 🙂

I think that The Hunger Games is one of the rare instances where the movie is better than the book.

I thought the books were okay; I thought they were good until I read book 3. I couldn't really relate to Katniss in the books, and I didn't think the writing was very good.
