Paper and pencil exam was way harder than this new format

    Just be glad Dell hasn't incorporated the “reach through the computer screen and choke someone” feature on their laptops, 'cause I would have used it if I could! LOL

    Haha will someone explain? I always assumed it had been harder to sit for all the sections at once.

    FAR 4/9/12- PASSED
    BEC 7/13/12- PASSED
    AUD 8/16/12- Ughhh 71, Rematch: 90!!!
    REG-12/6/12 PASSED

    My boss got his license in 1969. According to him it was so much harder even though there were only 12 standards. He tried a couple of Wiley quizzes and said “Thank God I don't have to take that test.”

    I've had lunch with some older CPA's and both sides are saying that the other version of the exam is harder. For me, I don't care how much less material there was in the paper exam, there's no way I can learn all 4 sections and take it the same day. On the other hand, the older CPA's know the new exam covers a lot more material than their exam and are scared of our exams. Personally, I'd take our format over theirs any day…

    My cousin thinks the exam is easier now. He always tells me, “You guys have it easy. You can take one part at a time. We had to take all 4 parts together!”

    @CPAMan, your cousin seems like a textbook “pencil and paper exam” CPA…

    …Fortunately your CPA license will be equal to theirs when it is all said and done
