Does anyone know if they extended the 18 month period for candidates, once they passed their first exam because of covid?
From my understanding and from what I've read, NASBA is working with the state boards to try and extend the 18-month window. At the end of the day, NASBA doesn't decide if you get an extension or not, your state board does.
Tennessee decided in the board meeting this week that they would extend any 18-month credits expiring from 4/1/20 on until 12/31/20. They cited that NASBA recommended states extend until 9/30, but it's ultimately up the each state board to decide. https://www.tn.gov/commerce/regboards/accountancy/license-applicant-resources/covid-19.html
Florida did -yeah!
And I heard today that California did as well. Check with your State Board.
