Prometric’s website states it will be closed through May 31. My exam was scheduled for May 16, but Prometric said they will email those with current appointments so we can re-schedule for free. Has anyone gotten their email yet? I have not.

I saw that, the AICPA website says that we are essential though, and some people were tweeting that we will still be able to take exams but I have no idea.

If they do postpone it, I'll be super screwed because I doubt we'll be able to find an open window before September.

When I check NASBA website today, they are stating that cpa is essential service so cpa exam will be the exception with the prometric closure. doesnt it mean that we are still able to take the cpa exam after May 1st? I havent received any email from nasba so I thought that my exam in May is on schedule.

When I checked Prometric, it still says my exam is scheduled. Guess we will see if it gets canceled or not.

Just got an email from NASBA saying all CPA testing will resume May 1. CPA exams are deemed “essential.” Who would have thought?

Don't forget about this if you scheduled your exam. I'm going to keep one extra mask in my car just in case.

Prometric has enacted the following procedures to help ensure your safety during your testing appointment:

Requiring all test takers to bring and wear a face mask during the entirety of their time at the test center. Both medical masks and cloth face coverings are acceptable. Any test taker that comes to the test center without a mask will not be allowed to test, marked as a “no show,” and will not be eligible for a free reschedule.

    WTF

I just got an email from Prometric saying that my exam has been canceled because of social distancing saying only every other seat is allowed. Is this a joke?

I finally was allowed to check on the Prometric website and it says it's still scheduled but I don't know what that means.

I'm in Chicago. My exam was scheduled for May 8th and I also got an email this morning from prometric stating that my upcoming exam has been canceled due to Social distancing guideline. So frustrated! I've been studying the pass 3 months and waiting for that day to take exam. The prometric website is stuck right now due to high volume transaction. I guess many people trying to reschedule theirs.

Let me know what it says for you when you do get into the site. Mine said “Status: Scheduled” still so I want to know if I'm actually canceled or not.

Why have they not extended the 18 month deadline? Why do they keep pretending that it matters. My first exam expires in January. I planned this out based on that fact and now I likely won't be able to take my AUD exam until September, and I failed FAR (because I postponed it 3 months after finishing the lectures due to work reasons) so that means I'll be cutting it straight to the wire. I've studied Audit for the last month and a half already, which will be totally lost for September.

I am seriously considering giving up on this. I don't even want it and now my work doesn't “officially” require a CPA to move up. Maybe I'll switch to FP&A.

Mine says “scheduled” as well. I don't know if I should be rescheduling. The earliest I can find now is July 16th, 80 miles away from where I live. OMG!. I tried to call customer service but I can't.

I have yet to receive an email, but I normally don't get any sort of confirmation anyways regarding my exam, but it still does say scheduled. I hope I'm able to take it in May. The availability for next couple of month is joke. Either there isn't any, or I have to drive 3-4 hours to the next closest testing center. I'll be a bit annoyed if I can't test at all during this window.
