3rd and (hopefully) final try of REG. How do you think I did?

Average about an 80 and trending 87.
Ninja exam scores were in upper 80s.

    Actual Exam:

    T1-Pretty easy. Finished in 25 min. Maybe 3 I wasn’t sure about
T2-Trickier questions littered with some medium questions. Flagged more but again maybe 5 I was unsure of.
    T3-Same as T2

Noticed questions in T2 and T3 were harder, not necessarily longer. But I had to pay real close attention to what they were asking.

Sim 1:Only had one tricky tab which I think I got right.
Sim 2-Research:Very sure I got right
Sim 3 DRS: Tricky but I think I got all right
Sim 4 DRS: Pretty sure I got right
Sim 5:Long but I think I got right
Sim 6: I was dumb and made a change last second as I second guessed myself!! So 2 out of 6 blanks I got wrong

I thought I did good enough to pass on my last try and I got a 74. 72 on the first try. I busted my butt re-learning everything again. I know I missed some mcq and that last part of the sim. Anyone have a similar experience?

@Tcohle If you don't mind me asking, how did you prepare for REG? I'm having a hard time memorizing all of the tax limits, %'s etc plus all of ethics and b-law. I've heard not to put so much hours in b-law but to know enough because they are easy points in the exam.

I wouldn't worry too much about tax limits. Generally know phaseouts, know 1933 and 1934 fraud and such. I would say REALLY understand basis, contributions, distributions, income effect for partnerships s corps and c corps.

I say that cus it's kind tricky to understand

@Tcohle: Good Luck to you. when I passed my REG, my 2nd testlet was noticeably difficult. I marked 15 or more.

Thanks. I think the last two testlets I flagged 10 or so but I was only TRULY unsure of 3 or 4. Sometimes I'll flag just to double check work.

@Tcohle – I think you'll passed based on your assessment of the SIMS part. I think I passed REG with my 3rd attempt because I felt I nailed most of the SIMS although I flagged a lot of MCQs.

Retakes can be very tricky, mind boggling, annoying and make you want to cry…with that said…the idea is that you need a 75 to pass, use what ever materials needed to get that 75 but by all means resist the urge to cut corners. It's there, and sometimes I get so anxious about studying instead of settle down and simply study. So good luck….

@Melody thinking back I think I made a mistake on another part of a sim -_-. It didn't affect the whole problem but again two cells. Hopefully that doesn't ruin me

Sounds like u did good. I had the pleasure of restudying reg as well. Retook it yesterday

Yes the first testlet was pretty straight fwd. The second and third were not necessary longer (maybe a tad bit) but trickier. Had to guess on some and reallh

The simulations were a nightmare. Much worse than the test i got a 73 on 🙁 had to make many educated guesses. At least i got the research though! I always feel this way about sims though….

In all i dont think i passed. However, my first attempt at far i was 110% sure i failed and passed. My first attempt at reg i was 80% sure i passed and missed the mark with a 73…

You really have no clue on these exams smh.

I just want the nightmare known as reg to be over
