A question to Wiley users?

    Hey.
I’m studying for AUD right now. This is the only section I ever failed and I’m taking it for the 3rd time on the 20th this month.

I just finished using Becker (for the 3rd time) and now I’m almost done with Wiley (both 2014.)

I was wondering, is there any point in going over Module 41, which is a “supplement” titled “Information Technology”?

Also, there is a section at the end, titled “Outlines of Professional Standards”, which is 150 pages of reading, but there are no MCQs for practice. Should i even bother?

Will i need any of this? I have finished modules 1 through 8.

English: Sorry can't help you with your question since I don't use Wiley. I just noticed that you passed REG with 3 weeks of study and using Becker. I'm planning to study for REG right after my AUD exam the end of this month. Tax is my weakness. Do you think 150 hours is enough for someone with no background in tax and didn't just graduated from college? N do you think Becker did a good job preparing you?

    AUD - 87
    BEC - 77
    FAR - 75
    REG - 82

    Goingallin,

My scores for FAR, REG, and BEC were 76, 76, and 79, respectively. So even though I passed, I passed just barely. REG is only like one third the difficulty of FAR. I also supplemented NinjaCPA for reg.

Becker does a pretty good job preparing everyone, but it honestly depends on your strengths and weaknesses. I am a terrible test-taker anyway.
It doesn't matter how long you study for (as long as you don't exceed 4 weeks or something, unless you repeat everything over and over again…) but 150 should be more than plenty i think. Just make sure you go over everything beginning to end and you score above 60% on the MCQs.

As a general rule, if you leave the exam room feeling unsure, you probably passed. But when I left confident
(the past 2 times) i failed (AUD) both times. Another guy I know who used Becker got a 95%. Like I said, it depends on you.

I had no tax experience or background (except my own tax prep) either, and I only took individual tax in college. I skipped corp tax and did just fine on REG. Becker does a pretty good job preparing you if you don't know anything (except FAR. You must have some previous knowledge of financial accounting to pass FAR, even with becker.)
