Adjusting Study schedules for illness

I caught a cold… I knew I was getting sick but denied it. I didn’t study much last weekend due to other obligations, and haven’t studied all week because of this cold 🙁 I have a 7-week study plan for FAR and had planned to test OCT 9th, I’ve read my textbook once, currently 1/3 through the second read, and halfway through my MCQ’s. I’m still not 100%.
How do you adjust your study schedules for Illness? push the test back? Add in extra study time each day.

I work full time but have been using the ELL method, so in theory, I could probably add another hour each day to my studying, maybe 2.
530am-7am, 12-1pm, 6-930 pm but with still being slightly under the weather is it smart to push myself, or just add another week?

My Goal is to have passed all 4 before tax season really starts, I got my passing REG score last week. I’m going to do 2 this window, FAR and BEC. I’m not scheduling tests because I have options of Prometric locations so I will schedule when I think I’m close to being ready.

I was sick several times with these exams. Usually a sinus infection as I have a really bad tendency to get those. That, mixed with high stress weakening my immune system, I felt rather miserable. However I stuck to the schedule. I'm not trying to sound mean because I absolutely know it sucks to be sick, but take some cold medicine, get prescription meds if you think it would help more, take some emergen-c, and keep pushing through. Don't reschedule your test. Stay on point and keep up your study schedule just like you would if you were well. I know it is easy to slack off because you're sick, but that's just an excuse. I took the gmat while I had the flu (although that is no comparison to these exams), and a few sections of this exam sick. It sucks. Bad. But don't make excuses for yourself. Stay determined and kick the exams butt. Good luck.

Hate to say it but tend to agree with @Summer Just keep with it, the cold will pass. IF, you want take one day of just focusing on relaxing and getting better but then really kick it into high gear afterwards. Postponing a test can do more harm than good sometimes, just because the longer you wait the more information can be lost, but that is my opinion and everyone has got one. I was sick a lot over this summer when I was studying but I made soup, sat in a blanket, and kept answering multiple choice questions like it was no tomorrow. I wanted to be done before I start my Big4 job in October, and mission accomplished. It's worth it more to stick to it, and you'll come out even better on the other side! You can AND YOU WILL pass this exam! 😀

To late, as stated in the original post, I already missed a week of studying. For me studying when my brain is foggy is an inefficient use of my time. Instead I slept, literally all week. I even went home sick Wednesday and Friday and slept all day and night. I feel better and am able to focus again and will actually retain what I study. But is it better to add additional study time and essentially Cram, or stick to my original plan, write the missed week off and plan to test a week later.
This won't effect future testing schedules.

I would try to add in extra study time throughout the day to cram in the missed material and keep the original date. Make sure to leave a good chunk of time for final review. I don't know if you've failed any sections or if you passed REG on your first attempt, but make sure you're in your sweet spot for passing when it comes to final review.
