If I answered affirmative to one or more of the background questions on your CPA exam application, is it typical that the application has to be reviewed before the Board of Accountancy? Also is there any advise regarding attending the meeting? Lastly, shouldn’t of this meeting accorded before they allowed me to sit for the exams?

What state and what question specifically?
It probably all boils down to the letter you send along with your application.
Most people do not have trouble, one guy on here recently was denied, but he had a rather extensive history.
All applications are reviewed by the board, to the be of my knowledge.
I have not heard of anyone having to go in for a meeting or interview, except for some CA related full license problems.

The state is Florida and the letter states that it is an open meeting and not mandatory for me to go but encouraged so that I may address any questions that come up. I have three misdemeanors from roughly 14 years ago when I was 19 and a fourth misdemeanor occurred when I was 21. Adjudication was withheld on all of them.

My first arrest the charges were (1) possession of cannabis 20 grams or less (2) possession of paraphernalia (3) possession of alcohol. My second arrest was touch or strike battery. Both arrest occurred in 2005 when I was 19.
