Hi guys! Can anyone help me with the inventory reconciliation sim?

For Widgets 5mm – I understand why it is 0, but then why is the explanation errors in the count if there were no errors in the dollar amount?

Hex bolts – I see via the flowchart that there are returns not processed, but don’t understand how they got the 645.

If someone could help me out with my questions or provide a really good explanation or approach to this problem I would really appreciate it!

I believe the “errors in count” is the correct answer, because the count was off, even though the perpetual listing was correct. This was verified by the e-mail from the controller that “there is an issue with the physical counts on the 5mm widgets”.

The amount for hex bolts is the inventory counts (7975 + 1950) of 9925 minus the perpetual listing of 9875 = the difference of 50 more in the inventory count than the perpetual inventory. Then, that 50 multiplied by the unit price of 12.89 = $644.50. Since there was more in the physical count, it would be added to the perpetual listing.
