Sorry I have been bombing this message board about REG lately. I took the AICPA practice test and got all the MCQ’s and most of the sims although they gave me more of a hard time. Can these sims be taken seriously as a gauge for what to expect on the real exam? I felt like the BEC practice sims were on the money. The exam may have been a little more lengthy but overall similar

I am basically having a minor panic attack after reading horror stories about the sims on other threads :/

Gonna keep doing MCQ's up until Thursday and go over sims that seem likely to be tested

I just went over and took a look as well on the AICPA website to peak at the sims. Wow, that first one was extremely challenging in my opinion… back to the drawing board for me for the rest of the week as I plan on covering sims more than originally anticipated.

    We got this!

The sims do seem tough – thats what I am most nervous about. Praying and hoping for the best!

@eric @lizardh7 I think a key is to get through the MCQ as fast as possible to give yourself lots of time on sims. I did that for BEC and double checking my answers saved me a couple times

Totally agree on the approach as I have done the same on my past exams. This will result in an opportunity for a few deep breaths when/if getting frustrated during the sims.

    @lizardh7
    – looks like we are on the same part of our CPA journey; best of luck!

Good idea guys – I did that with FAR and AUD. What do you average time wise on the Multiple choice? I usually aim for 45 min per block – is that similar to you guys?? I am getting nervous as my exam is Friday. @Eric yes! – we are SO close, its been hard to focus here and there especially with it getting warm and sunny here, but just 1 more to go and we are DONE. You were SO close in March!!! You got this. I took REG last May and got a 69…but feeling 100% more confident this time – still hate the unknown! Wishing I saved Audit for last haha but oh well…Good luck you guys~!!

I am honestly going to try to get done with MCQ in an hour and save 3 hours for sims. Probably a stretch, but still a good goal. I no longer spin my tires on MCQ if I can”t figure it out… I just make the best guess knowing that the sims are where the pass/fail will come from

I'm almost positive that the Sims I got on my last attempt tested all of my weak areas going in hahaha, so I am hoping for exactly that @The People’s Champ!

Thanks @lizardh7 – we are right there. Let's get this done this time to avoid studying during the summer again! 45 minute per MCQ section seems fairly consistent with my time allocation as well. Confidence is key, and I am undoubtedly going in much more confident this time as opposed to last!

My REG SIMs were nothing as hard compared to AICPA practice, but my MCQs were another story (on my REG experience thread).

Its really hard to pin-point these things I guess, because with technology, its very easy for AICPA to change up things and throw a mix.

    AUD - 77
    BEC - 79
    FAR - 75
    REG - 80
    Won't know until you try.

    FAR: 76
    REG: Currently studying
    AUD:
    BEC:
