    Hello

I haven’t yet finished my CPA exams, but I am looking into the License Requirements so i can be prepared. I have worked as an Internal Auditor for 2 years, I was wondering if that will count as work experience? and where can I find a list of the requirements needed?

    Thank you

    MTH

Check your state board's website for requirements. My state requires 1 year of experience, can be either public or private. Some states require 2 years, some require public experience. Depends on the state.

You can probably have your experience signed off on before completing your exams. My state allows us to do that, so I had a supervisor sign off on my experience before I received the score for my last exam.

    AUD - 61, 76

Alaska changed their requirements in January 2017. An applicant for initial issuance of a license under 12 AAC 04.175 must show that the applicant has had two years of experience. That experience must include providing any type of service or advice involving the use of accounting, attest, compilation, management advisory, financial advisory, tax, or consulting skills all of which were verified by a supervising certified public accountant. The experience is acceptable if it is gained through employment in government,
    industry, academia, or public practice.”

So I believe your experience should qualify under AK's requirements.
