So, to make a long story short. I will not be working until late Aug because I have one class to legally graduate. I’ll be taking the class during the summer, and I have enrolled in a “CPA Bootcamp” using Wiley CPA Excel. The plan of attack is listed below.

    June 1 – June 16 Study FAR

    June 17 – June 27 Study AUD

    June 28 – July 9 Review & Sit FAR & AUD

    July 11 – July 18 Study BEC

    July 19 – July 26 Review & Sit BEC

    July 27 – Aug 5 Study REG

    Aug 6 – Aug 12 Review & Sit REG

All those willing, please share any study tips that would help. I thought about purchasing Becker final review and/or Ninja, thoughts? Also, I’d appreciate if anyone who is or has been in similar situation could share their study plan. Thanks for reading.

You take FAR out of the equation and just sleep and study the entire time you may have a chance. FAR is the size of two exams. Studying FAR and piling audit on top…you better be able to look at things one time and have it stick. I think it's too much in a short period. 2 exams in that time frame would be an excellent achievement. The above is overkill, but you may be some type of CPA exam savant.

This is like trying to KO Mike Tyson, memorize the dictionary, and perform open-heart surgery simultaneously while balancing on a tightrope suspended above a swimming pool filled with crocodiles. I commend your bravery.

As crazy that may sound but I have actually heard of someone who graduated from my college (one of the TA's in my intro accounting class) that passed all 4 section in two months! All first attempt but he was an EWS winner too.. So it is possible but probably a lot of sleepless nights in the process. Best of Luck!

@Biff, did you only use Ninja MCQ for real? Im afraid my becker will expire before I get a pass so I may have to look into other software.. Just curious. got about 9 months on becker and have yet to pass one section. I purchased way to early not knowing the time starts once I logged in.

I received a free Wiley gold package for being a campus rep at school, and so I watched the lectures for AUD (which didn't really help me at all), after I did that I got ninja MCQ and hammered on those until I took AUD. Would not have passed if I didn't get the ninja MCQ.
For BEC, FAR, and REG it was 100% Ninja MCQ. If you have a decent base knowledge of the subjects, Ninja MCQ is the best route in my opinion.

OP, your biggest obstacle is going to be sticking with that schedule. You should definitely start studying for FAR, but I can almost guarantee that it is going to be overwhelming. I was in shock when I started going through the material because it was a lot harder than I expected.

With that being said, we have really nice study groups above to help guide you through the process. If you can finish all 4 in one window that will be awesome and if not then you are like the most of us here and everyone will try to help you get through it!

    Good luck in your decision.

To the OP, I think you should consider how diligent you have been with studying in the past for other things like school. Not many people can study 8 hours a day every single day for three months straight. Don't burn yourself out and enjoy summer, 18 months is longer than you think.

    To the OP

I don't know anything about you except what you posted. You could be the .0000001% that is able to absorb and retain info in that much quantity but the vast majority of people can't do it and get burned out on just one section in a window left alone all of them. This test has burned me out and wrecked my social life so I can speak from experience but I was working full time the whole time I was testing.

The biggest obstacle in this exam are the obscure details that pop up and you have to know. FAR and REG are full of this stuff. AUD I would say you can reason your way through it somewhat and do not need to memorize as much. People who are auditors ace it usually. BEC has the least material but they ask questions in funny ways and have you back into calculations that take multiple steps. If you get one step wrong it all falls apart.

If you can do 2 per window I would say you have a great shot. Not working and studying full time you are at a huge advantage. The one class will be a breeze compared to this material.

But if you can take and pass all 4 in one window then hats off to you.

Out of all the accountants I have ever known I only know one person who did this. The rest of us stuck with the 6 month plan with varying levels of success. Would not recommend
