So, to make a long story short. I will not be working until late Aug because I have one class to legally graduate. I’ll be taking the class during the summer, and I have enrolled in a “CPA Bootcamp” using Wiley CPA Excel. The plan of attack is listed below.

    June 1 – June 16 Study FAR

    June 17 – June 27 Study AUD

    June 28 – July 9 Review & Sit FAR & AUD

    July 11 – July 18 Study BEC

    July 19 – July 26 Review & Sit BEC

    July 27 – Aug 5 Study REG

    Aug 6 – Aug 12 Review & Sit REG

All those willing, please share any study tips that would help. I thought about purchasing Becker final review and/or Ninja, thoughts? Also, I’d appreciate if anyone who is or has been in similar situation could share their study plan. Thanks for reading.

    FAR - 81, 7/4/16
    AUD - 77, 7/11/16
    BEC - 83, 7/23/16
    REG - 63, 8/12/16; 87 11/4/16

    NINJA saved my working life!

I think it's a horrible idea. I vote for doing two. You are going to have to have perfect health, no drama, be extremely smart, dedicated, and have virtually no wiggle room. I would try one exam and if it's super easy to you… Then maybe crank the other 3 out in 6 weeks. I think you are under estimating the exams…

    A - 79 expires 4/30/16 need a pass on REG
    B - 78
    F - 80
    R - 83!!! Can live again!

No one knows your study habits better than you – but I would say it's extremely difficult if you're taking a summer class too. I was in the same position as you (wanted to take the exam before I started working)… so I ended up taking three exams in a week and the last one a month later & passed.

If you think you can take up studying as your full-time job and stick to it, I wouldn't count out the possibility of being able to knock em all out in a window.

My study plan was using Becker self-study. After I finished each chapter, I would do progress tests of 30 questions of all the chapters I did up to that point, which really helped with keeping the previous content fresh in my head. That's my best tip for you, especially since you're cramming it all in.

Honestly, I don't see the reason for all the negative vibes in here. Without having to work, this shouldn't be a problem as long as you're appropriately motivated and use your time well. The FAR review is definitely going to be a major time commitment but if you treat it like a full time job I think you have a great opportunity to hit it out of the park. Good luck, OP!!

    B - 88 (2/16)
    A - 84 (4/16)
    R - 73 (6/16), 82(7/16)
    F - 67 (1/16), 84(4/16)

I think that you are underestimating the test too. The passing rate is low for a reason. I would say take two per testing window. Especially if you are taking another class during the summer. Studying 8 hours is not the same as working 8 hours. I think that after a while your mind just goes blank.

Big props if you pull this off! I believe if this is doable if you can concentrate for hours on end and absorb the material. Just do not get burned out.

The $1000(probably more along the 800-900 range now) I'm talking about is the testing fees. I'm assuming you haven't paid for your tests yet so that might be why you neglected that part. Your review course is not a waste of money because I think you can pass the CPA exam. Understand that distinction when you decide to make this comparable to those doubting you getting into a top college. It's not the same. There's a difference between someone doubting that you can ever getting ripped versus someone doubting you can get ripped by summer time and it's already March. Or doubting someone saying he wants to be a doctor versus someone saying he wants to be a doctor by the age of 24.

And I know people who went to top business colleges and failed parts of the CPA exam. I know accountants who are way smarter than me that have failed as well. I also know people, like you, who just graduated college and are a little too confident thinking they can handle the test, and fail test after test. Some of these people are too embarrassed to talk to me anymore after I suggested taking a bit more time to study.

Honestly though you are asking the advice of people on this forum where the majority of posters take a year+ to finish the exam. Most of us (including myself) need around 2 months to feel comfortable taking an exam. Even if you put a gun to my head I probably wouldn't be able to pass all 4 in 2 months.

Unless you are the person that got a 2400 on their SAT on the first try, graduated from high school and college years earlier than everyone else while maintaining a 4.0 GPA then I wouldn't recommend it and even then I would still tell that person to aim for 2 or 3. FAR and REG first and then work and study for AUD and BEC since those are shorter tests.

My biggest takeaway is this. The main reason you want to do this is so you don't want to sacrifice a summer? Many people on the forums have sacrificed WAYYY more than just a summer for these tests. If you happen to fail the tests will you give up?

If you're set on it then go for it. I would probably add some more supplementary materials though. Good luck and props to you if you prove us wrong.

I say go for it. Why not?
The only thing that it will cost you is Time and Money.

If you pass all 4 exams, then great! You will be done.
If you fail all 4 exams, then you will know what is needed to pass the exams the next time.

If you fail all 4 exams in July and August, I think the exams will easier for you when you take all 4 exams again in October and November. =P

    Good luck!

I saw one person on Facebook who did this. I'd never believe it except he posted his scores with dates, all in 90s. Sure he could have forged it but I do believe it's possible. If you think you can, then by all means, do it. As someone else posted, no one here knows your abilities or stamina.

I passed three of the four in one window doing something similar to this one year ago. The local CPA firm I was working for fired me for this act. I think the partners felt threatened and I made the other staff look bad. No worries. I make more money than them now.

neaux2135, if you are able to pass all 4 parts in 2 months while taking a college level class, I would have to say that your personality is so magnetic, you are unable to carry credit cards. Even your enemies list you as their emergency contact number. You never say something tastes like chicken. Not even chicken. Toma dos equis!

I passed all mine the the same day!! Lol. I am against the strategy, but like many have said if you think you can do it go for it!!!

It would make a heck of story. But be realistic, your chances of succeeding 4 in one window are very low. Not impossible but its like shooting a full court shot.
