Almost ran out of time during 15 min break

Took AUD yesterday and I use the 15 minutes time stop to use the bathroom, drink and have a little snack to push me through to the end of the test. Well, the guy working the check in was chatting it up and after being told that he’d get to me next I had to interrupt him and ask to be let back in. Got back to my desk with 1 minute left in the break.

I was too hurried to read directions but what happens if that time runs out??? Does the test time just start back up or does it end your test? I was soooooo angry it took me a few minutes to get back in the test mindset.

I have 2 tests left and I do NOT want that to happen again.

I don't think anything like that happens. Your time just starts ticking away. Maybe if you're gone for an hour something worse might happen but my husband always would take multiple breaks and go over the allotment and nothing happened.

This is one of the reasons I never take breaks-I am petrified of something crazy happening! 🙂 LOL

Your time just starts to run. So if you left at 2:30 and you came back 16 minutes later you would have 2:29 when you logged back in.

The test itself was ok as far as any CPA test goes. I was a Big 4 auditor for 6 years and now have been in private accounting for 6 years so studying was mostly refreshing my memory on how to audit. I did get FAR SIMS like others have said and I got one that the instructions made no sense with how I was supposed to respond. I hope that was a test SIM and doesn't count otherwise it was a complete guess. Hate waiting but I'm moving on to BEC in Dec so hopefully the time goes by quickly.

I'll have to research that 15 min break more and hopefully it just starts your test timer. Kinda unnerving to walk back in to a red blinking screen that only 1 min was left.
