    Hey everybody,

A couple of weeks ago I posted about whether or not I should be trying to get that lovely CPA license. After discussing it with my family and friends, I have come to the conclusion that I am going for it.

I’m going to use the NINJA Books and Notes (not updated for current test), and Wiley’s Test Bank. I tried to use just NINJA for AUD and bombed the heck out of that test. So I figured supplement with Wiley could be beneficial for me.

Here’s what I’m thinking exam wise:
    1) REG – Just got out of tax season so most of this is still fresh
    2) FAR – Heard that REG and FAR go hand in hand
    3) AUD – My background is in auditing but I haven’t done it for a year.
    4) BEC – I suck at writing so I figured save this one for last.

Obviously, this will change according to scheduling and how I think studying is going.

    Any suggestions or pointers?

    Thanks!

    Here are my two cents:
1 – That's awesome and you will definitely have a leg up
2 – Not sure about this one but they all have some overlap
3 – I HATED this one but you'll probably smoke it
4 – not really a whole lot of writing; I think they ask for memo style stuff mostly

    AUD - 76
    BEC - 82
    FAR - 82
    REG - 86
    Becker & Ninja MCQ

    BEC - 79
    REG - 85
    AUD - 5/27/16

I personally would do FAR first, I think it has the most material that overlaps the other exams. As far as FAR and REG going hand in hand, I would disagree. They are pretty much completely different, besides M-1 and M-3 reconciling book to tax.

If you don't plan on getting Ninja MCQ, I would highly recommend. Pretty cheap test bank with pretty good analytics so you can see your weak and strong areas.

    Good Luck!

    AUD - 92
    BEC - 84
    FAR - 77
    REG - 89

I'm a GA candidate who is eligible to take the exams, but can't be licensed until I take one more accounting class. My school screwed me over by saying Business Law counted as an accounting class. Long story! I just have a Bachelor's. Didn't see the point in getting an MBA when I had all of the required courses for my bachelors.

    Any suggestions?

    1) REG – Just got out of tax season so most of this is still fresh – This is good and should give you a leg up but that's it as there is a lot further here
    2) FAR – Heard that REG and FAR go hand in hand – not sure about that but ok.
    3) AUD – My background is in auditing but I haven't done it for a year. This is good and should give you a leg up but note that there is a lot of theory here
    4) BEC – I suck at writing so I figured save this one for last. My strategy when I did my CPA, was to start with the easy one BEC, then use that confidence to get on what I thought was the toughest REG, then on to FAR and AUD. You could insert subjects here as you think.
    Best of luck !
