I’ve been studying for about month (while working FT), using NINJA MCQ’s and NINJA Notes. That’s it.

I plan on using the next 2 days to take a handful of practice exams, then do some more MCQ’s on my trouble areas based on how I do on those practice exams. I also have a set of flash cards I made from some trouble areas that I’ve been flipping through whenever I get a chance.

    How are my odds?

I was going to postpone the test another month, but my NTS expires on 1/10 and I figured I may as well just go for it and hope for the best.

This is my final section -_-

If I plan to take my first exam in May 2016 when should I send my examination application? I am thinking of starting with FAR first. How much time should I study for each exams? Besides Ninja notes/mcq/audio what other material would be good? Any suggestions/tips will be appreciated!!!

    Hi Kanwal,
I went through the initial application process years ago so I'm not sure how long it takes now. Once you go through the application process getting your NTS is very quick. I highly suggest Ninja but I also used Roger CPA for lectures for both AUD and FAR. I used Yaeger for lectures for REG and BEC. Good luck!

Alex, I have gone through about 40 of the sims. My scores are all over the place on them and I know the actual exam sims will be harder:( Good luck to you as well on Thursday!

Thanks Nicole for the info, appreciate it.

If anyone can tell me that is Exam review study guide is separate than the actual books? I have Wiley Exam review study guide 2015, for example it has 13 modules which covers all FAR topics (example, Module 9: Basic Theory and Financial Reporting, Module 10: Inventory, Module 11: Fixed Assets and so on). Each module has related topics, key terms, mcq, simulations, no lectures or audio though. Will this be sufficient to study along with Ninja notes/lectures/audio/mcqs.

@kanwal78 that's what I'm doing! I actually LOVE the Ninja MCQ/Sims for FAR as a supplement so much that lately it's ALL I've been doing. The explanations are helpful whenever I get a problem wrong, and my score is improving!

Trending 62% with 500 questions not seen yet. Done a total of 1500 questions (of which 290 are “missed from last time”). Have not hit any Govt or NFT questions yet (Doing Govt today/tomorrow and NFT tomorrow and rest of next week before exam). Somehow I need to get trending up to 70-75% in a week which I think is doable since I have only done 20% of total questions attempt under the “missed last time” selection. How is everyone else fairing leading up to exam day?

@Cruzer On exam day I was at 89% trending and 83 avg. Whether or not I pass, I will see on the 8th right after I take BEC. Really praying for a pass right now.

I felt like I did OK at the MCQ portion. Things got a lot more wordier, I remember one question span like half the screen and somewhat complex or at least I felt like they were. But I am not very confidient at the sims at all because I was just all over the place.

@Anthony I know stats are sometimes a distraction to your mindset of studying but on average of 40 people who took Far with an trending score avg of 70% passed with an 80% (Taking sample of 40 person population that had avg trending score of 60-75% based on google spreadsheet Jeff updates). Crazy Crazy crazy compared to the other exams and a good indicator.

For ninja mcqs, when you go to the “progress report”, click on “advanced”. It'll show you all the subsections you're having “trouble” with (trending score). Print it out and custom build testlets with only those areas. Likely, you just haven't seen those areas in a while. Your trending will go up once those improve.
