    I am about 80% through the material and have been doing Ninja MCQ’s and scoring well.. They don’t seem to be very tricky. I have no tax experience and have made it a point to focus extra hard when reading through the text and learning any new material. BEC and FAR practice questions were way harder than REG so far. Anyone else feel similar?

    I can't say that I feel similar as I find there to be an overwhelming amount of details to memorize in the tax world. What I can say is that it is great that it is coming so naturally to you! Keep up the good work with your studies and continue to hammer in on topics you find yourself scoring lower marks in. Best of luck!

    I have found REG to be more difficult than FAR mainly just due to BLAW. The tax stuff I have found to pick up a bit easier, but I found FAR easier to pick up probably due to having so many related classes. I also came off of a govt/nfp course when I began studying so the last 3 chapters in Becker were bit of a breeze

    BLaw absolutely sucks, but it's only 10-20% of the exam so I am not too worried about it. Hopefully I get some easy questions.

    Yeah thats true, I also got pretty lucky with my SIMS on FAR unless I was just really prepared. Finished with little over an hour left and ended up with an 86. Don't see that happening again with the next 3 exams lol

    @skolvikes – thanks man. Hoping for this to be last and complete this year and a half journey! You are right there as well once you kick REG's ass, come back with a vengeance for FAR.

    I found REG to be the least stressful of my exams, but I figured that was because it was my first, and I probably over-studied for it. It also turns out that it was my highest score. Only downhill from there… FAR was the one that I had to repeat a couple of times and it was definitely my hardest.

    I agree. But I also have a background in business law and want to specialize in taxation. REG was the only one I never failed, but I did have to take it twice after losing my first credit.

    I have 15 years in tax, and did the EA exam, but I still wouldn't call REG “easy”.
    It was the most in my comfort zone for sure.

    May just be a Gleim thing but I'm finding this section to be much harder to digest than the other 3. Gleim seems to want me to memorize every threshold and every line on every tax form. I did income tax work for a couple years so I'm decently familiar with all the different aspects of US tax returns but I'm still having trouble memorizing every little detail for every unique situation.

    @Tim
    You’ll probably score a 98 or 99 in your REG this testing window.
    Dang! I’d be happy to get a 75.

    So I better aim for a 95! With that goal in mind, I’ll probably get a 75.

    I think it's all about what your background and work experience is in. For me i have about 10 years working in public in tax. Definitely felt the most comfortable in REG and BEC.

    “Easy” was the wrong word. They are all challenging, don't get me wrong. Just less mental gymnastics on the questions so far. Who knows though, I could be in for a surprise on the real exam :/
