Becker’s Ch. 10 is a lot of miscellaneous topics.

Anyone skip this chapter and still pass?

I’m running out of time and would feel more comfortable knowing the other 9 chapter topics more thoroughly. But, maybe that’s not a good idea?

    FAR - 86 - 2/27/14
    AUD - 75 - 5/29/14
    BEC - 80 - 8/31/14
    REG - 89 - 2/27/15
    Praise Jesus! I'm done!!

I also skipped CH 10 of the Becker review and passed with an 87. I do recall a couple of MCQs that were from CH 10 topics but nothing more that I can remember.

First, no one is giving specifics about exam content. We just want to know if ch 10 is cover in other cpa exam prep courses. Please read the whole post before giving your opinion. Second, who are you ethics police? I don't see moderator under your name. I bet you got in trouble a lot in high school.

Skipped chapter 10 and passed with an 86.

The only topic I would even consider is debt restructuring (from what I recall). And Partnerships.

    BEC (July 2013)
    FAR (OCT 2013)
    REG (NOV 2013)
    AUD (JAN 2014)

The CPA Exam is an opponent that not even the Fellowship of the Ring would want to come across.

    I have a long...long...journey ahead of me.

I wouldn't skip F-10, but I wouldn't go crazy over it. It certainly helped me during the exam. Remember that all of the material in the text book is fair game on the exam.

    AUD - 8/31/13 - 94
    BEC - 11/23/13 - 89

I never expected this but one of my SIMS was from F-10 (it wasn't partnership or debt restructuring)!. If you are very strong in other areas F1-F9, then skipping F10 is probably not going to adversely affect your score to the point of failing. If you got one SIM from F10, it accounts for 5-10% of your total SIMS , then it's rather significant that would make or break it. Just to be safe you must know the basics of all topics including F10.

    BEC - 86 (8/31/12)
    AUD - 97 (11/18/12)
    REG - 83 (5/12/13)
    FAR - 91 (12/2/13)
    Done!!!

I skipped 9-10. I passed. I would rather know 75-80% of the material completely than 100% of the material half a$$. I wouldn't recommend skipping anything if possible but I just ran out of study time and refused to reschedule my exam.
