I just finished FAR and passed first try with about 180 hours of studying. From what I’ve read, AUD takes anywhere from 40-120 so to be safe I’m giving myself 6 weeks to study and plan to do 3-4 hours a day 6 days a week. How much did you study for your exam?

Honestly, 6 weeks is perfect for me, at least. Try to get through the material THOROUGHLY once, (I think this took ROUGHLY 4 weeks, I study about the same time as you and I work full time). It beats going through them a second time. Keep doing MCQ sets as you work through it so you retain.

I studied for roughly 185 hours to pass audit. This was spread across six months, as I was also studying for BEC during that time.

I don't know how people keep track of the hours. I'm constantly distracted by the internet while I'm studying and I take 80 zillion little breaks.

Me too. I have to stand up and walk around after every couple pages of reading. But I try to avoid going on my phone, unless it's to look at this site.

I studied about 125 hours. CPAexcel and Ninja MCQ tracks your time so I just make sure that when I get distracted by anything other than studying, I exit out of any of the timed sections and go to the dashboard.

I studied for 6 weeks, 3 or so hours per day 5-6 days a week. If I had to guess I probably put 150 hours of GOOD studying in. I got a 98 on AUD, so I overdid it a bit.

I'm a tax and financial nerd, so audit is by far my weakest subject. I studied for about 200 hours over several months. Took it was woefully unprepared (maybe 75 hours?) and failed miserably. Studied another 100+ hours for my retake.

I wound up getting my highest score in audit, go figure. Overstudied, definitely, but I didn't want to take any chances as it was my last exam and my FAR was about to expire. It was freaking hard, but like anything, if you study and work hard enough you'll probably be ok.

Weekends are meaningless to a CPA candidate
