I sent all of my information in as of June 26th. I called the board on Monday and they verified that they had in fact received all information and was waiting for my background results. They told me it could take 4-8 weeks to get everything approved. Does anyone from AR know if it’ll actually take that long to process?

First of all, congratulations! I received my license at the beginning of the year through Arkansas. I paid my fees on January 13th, submitted my fingerprinting about a week later, and received my license around February 12th so I would say that 4 weeks for processing is about normal. However, I believe the board only meets once a month so it just depends on the timing of when you submitted everything and when they are meeting next. I had some former coworkers who I believe got theirs in about two weeks.

Thanks @Rene and congrats to you as well. Does Arkansas have a place where you can check the status of your application or do they just send you an e-mail when approved?

I am unaware of a place to check the status of your application. All correspondence and updates were provided through email with the Licensing Coordinator when I was going through it.

@ Rene how long did it take before you received your wall certificate?

It took several months. I don't really remember how long tbh, but I was licensed in February and I don't think I got the wall certificate until around May or June?
