Are my MCQ Scores Normal?

Hi everyone, I have a little over 5 weeks until my REG retake (test is on August 14th) and am about 3 weeks into studying. I just got through chapter 11 in Gleim, so I have completed approximately 1500 MCQs thus far. However, I am feeling a little discouraged because I am scoring pretty low on the MCQ. A majority of my scores are in the low 60s and 70s (I complete one sub-unit at a time, so typically I do about 20 Qs at a time). Are my scores normal for this point in my studying phase? From reading this forum, the Gleim MCQ bank seems to be considered one of the harder ones, so I try to keep that in mind as well, but it is just very frustrating. I am curious to know how other’s MCQ scores compare to mine?

    FAR: 79 (7/25/16)
    AUD: 89 (10/3/16)
    REG: 69 (1/9/17); 83 (8/21/17)
    BEC: 74 (3/6/17); 90 (5/31/17)

I've been using Roger and I get the sense that their question bank is smaller than other programs but for what it's worth, your scores parallel my scores the first time I test a subject. I've been trying to test the full question bank for each subject at least twice. While my scores the first time through are in the 60-70 range, I make sure to understand conceptually what I was getting wrong, and the second time through the question banks I am averaging in the high 80-low 90 range. I only have one data point, pre-exam update, thus far to validate that this is a successful strategy though.

    AUD - 98
    BEC - 93
    REG - 84
    FAR - 91

Are you me OP? I'm doing random sets of 25 mcq from all chapters on Gleim test prep and the tax sims. Getting murdered on Gleim and it isn't even funny lol. Currently right now I'm about little less than 1k of questions left on the test prep with a low average score of 65-69%ish from all questions that I've done so far. All questions I do are new and unseen, I try to avoid repeats as much as I can. My sim scores..oh boy I don't even want to talk about it. So, so bad.

    AUD - 82
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 81
    REG - 82
    FAR - 74 first attempt

I think that's actually pretty good for the first pass at the MCQ…. 🙂

As long as you stay on top of your studies, your exam score will probably be 5 to 15% higher than your trending Gleim score, if not more.

Add Ninja test bank if you want some peace of mind. Just keep hammering out those MCQs.

    Good luck!
