I have been using Becker and wiley test bank to study for reg. I am taking the test in 5 days. It seems that some multiple choice are very in depth and not as much conceptual. Also the simulations barely have documents based simulations which I heard is emphasized on the test. Is the test more conceptual and not as in detail and are there multiple document based simulations?

I use Wiley and feel the questions are on par with the actual exam. Check the AICPA website for a sample test to get the best feel how the actual exam will look.

    BEC - 84
    FAR - 78

Most of Becker's questions are more in depth and take much longer. I'd say each MCQ is about 3-4 sentences on average for the REG exam. However, I battled the clock to finish each MCQ testlet (38 MCQ each) in 50 mins. That was not easy, but doable.

    Goodluck. REG is a Beast!

    The exam is harder.
Be very well prepared for the worst!

    AUD - 83
    BEC - 77
    FAR - 79
    REG - 82
It's not gonna be easy, but it's gonna be worth it!

The lion's share of questions used by Becker and Wiley are past exam questions that were subsequently released by the AICPA.

Becker indicates it offers original questions only for “challenging topics” and to supplement topics with little or no AICPA-released questions. Wiley utilizes the Wiley Test Bank for original questions. If your college accounting classes used Wiley text books, you've likely seen some of these questions. The general consensus is the the original Becker and Wiley questions are GENERALLY more difficult & time consuming than what's on the exam. Good luck identifying which are AICPA and which are original (I sure can't) :).

Sims are much harder than becker, due to format and length.

Questions are on par in terms of difficulty with the harder testlet, not with the first/easier testlet.

    AUD - 73, 75... and done.

    FAR - 80 (UNBELIEVABLE)

    BEC - 78

I can't speak of Becker, but I have used WTB. I rarely practice SIMS except for ones on AICPA website. The wiley MCQs are about on par with actual exam. Know the concepts!!

    AUD - 84
    BEC - 81
    FAR - NINJA in Training
    REG - 75
    AUD - 84

    BEC-  81

    FAR- TBD

Thank you everyone for your help. It is interesting because Wiley and Becker do not offer a lot of document based simulations for REG which I heard is emphasized. I am just trying to know the concept more in depth as opposed to working with the simulations because they do not seem to be what it will be on the test.
