I’m taking REG on Thursday. I’ve been studying via Wiley for the past six week. I finished the program yesterday, and took the first practice exam this morning. I got a 59%.

I’m at a total loss. I studied, I took notes, I worked the questions after each module, sometimes twice. I just feel like I’ve wasted six weeks of my life.

I have the Wiley Test Bank so I plan on taking advantage of it as much as possible over the next three days, but to be honest at this point it just seems like a waste of time, just like the last six weeks.

Is there a point in time where some people should just realize that maybe this isn’t supposed to happen for them?

is this your first test? It's totally normal to feel like you're not good enough/smart enough/meant for etc. for this test. I wouldn't get hung up on the practice exam score. I don't have Wiley but Becker is far harder than the actual exam. For reg, I would highly recommend printing the often mentioned tax returns and looking over them all day long and while you do mcq. Don't give up, you can most def pass this test. I've personally never taken a practice exam bc I know a low score will be crushing to my determination. good luck on Thursday.

Six weeks is enough for some but not for others. How many hours per week are you studying? For six weeks you'd need about 25 hours per week.

I am not sure of your background, but if you work in Tax at a CPA firm you will have a competitive advantage for sure. I can speak from experience. The SIMS are a nightmare, I would start practicing a handful a day. 30-35 hours is a lot of study time for 6 weeks. Not sure if it is too late to reschedule but if I got anything below a 65 on a practice exam I would consider moving to later date

@ana I felt like I knew a good amount more than the last time I took the exam (I got a 60 the last time, but admittedly didn't study enough that time around)

@NotSmartEnough – I just want to respond to the comment you made about it not happening for someone. If you keep pushing, eventually it will happen. I promise. It took me 5 times to finally pass AUD, and 3 for FAR. Just keep pushing on and I know you'll get there.

Are you supplementing with any other products, like Ninja? You may be able to purchase a package and utilize the test bank for the next few days. Regardless of what you use, definitely keep hammering MCQs until your exam. For me, that's what brings it all together. Make sure you understand the concepts and reasons behind the answers.
