    Hi,

Is it possible to take AUD for the first time in 3 weeks without working and studying all day?

Do you have any prior work experience in Audit?

Can you push it back at all? Anything is possible but if you can push it back to the end of July, why do that to yourself. Then you will have time for a final review.

For my first attempt I studied full time for 2 weeks. Second attempt I studied full time for approx 3-3.5 weeks. I have no audit experience and took one audit class in college but I don't feel that it contributed to my studies.

Audit is a section in which you have to decide what the Most Correct answer is in many instances. It is extremely beneficial if you have actual real-life experience in this area. You will spend minimal time understanding theory and rules behind comps, reviews and audits because it is second nature already. Assertions are a piece of cake because that's what you do day in and day out. That was why I had asked.

I think with no experience, 3 weeks is pushing it and I would reschedule out a few more weeks. 5-6 weeks would be ideal and, judging by @hopefulCPA‘s previous scores, passing won't be an issue. If he/she has experience, I would say its absolutely doable w/ 3 full weeks.

I've only been in public accounting since Oct 14 as a staff so I have a bit of experience. I would ideally like to retake REG in 3 weeks but the re-app process is gonna take awhile the board said, and I'm on PTO for 2 weeks in July which is why I'm pushing it. I just don't want to be reviewing REG for 2 months and not be making any progress w/ finishing AUD.

Up to you. I'd say don't rush it. Push back REG. Give audit 2-3 more weeks for a total of 5-6 so you can, as @DeterminedCPA said, get your Final review in and truly get comfortable with the material.

Agreed. You want to take an exam to make progress but I think it's better to take the proper amount of time to allow yourself a passing score. To sit just for the sake of sitting for an exam isn't making progress. Progress is studying your butt off =) and then retaking when you are fully prepared. Final reviews are crucial because that's usually when you can tie loose ends and re-read your notes enough times for things to stick. Best of luck to you!!

I disagree with most on this thread. It is definitely possible. I studied AUD for 3 weeks WHILE working, so I only had 2-3 hours to study each day, and all day on most weekends. I ended up getting a 74, but I had 25 minutes remaining when I finished the exam, which was my mistake. My advice is go for it with dedication, but make sure you review all your SIMs in their entirety by using the research tool and use the full allotted time. Second attempt I got an 88.
