Last exam for me and i'm hoping to take ASAP so its fresh in my brain from the first sit, So January/February is the plan.December 13, 2018 at 4:21 pm #2113269
@Denzy95 Me too! Which review materials are you using?December 13, 2018 at 9:51 pm #2113749
Hello I am currently studying for aud using Becker. I took far twice and failed. I graduated in 2015 with a masters in accounting. Debating whether to change my study material. I feel since I been out of school and I don’t work in accounting I am a leasing credit officer. So I need material that will go very in-depth with concepts. Any suggestions?December 14, 2018 at 5:53 am #2113890
This will be my third attempt at AUD; not sure why I'm struggling with this one so much, but I plan to focus on simulations this time around as that is where I seem to panic on test day. Had to purchase Becker again (ugh) and supplementing with Ninja Notes and MCQs. Test day is 1/5/19 and I have a full two weeks off of work to study (minus Christmas). Motivation is pretty high to finally get this one out of the way. Good luck to everyone testing this Q!!December 18, 2018 at 6:12 pm #2119212
Just received my first two scores back in Q4 of 2018. Passed REG, but failed AUD. Going to continue to study for AUD in hopes I can pass it in Q1. I mainly used Becker, but used NINJA as well. Any advice on how to improve your score for AUD? I received a 66 on my first attempt.December 20, 2018 at 12:00 pm #2122947
@nicholas I am in the same boat as you. I passed the Reg but failed the Audit with a 72. I used primarily Becker to learn the material but i think I ran out time and did not have time to do reviews on weak areas and use Ninja mCQ. I passed Reg using Ninja MCQ and Becker but mostly Ninja in my last try and passed. So I am going to redo all the Becker question again and then review every single Ninja questions and do also all the Becker Simulations.December 20, 2018 at 12:08 pm #2122953
@Nereida What are your scores for the two times you failed with Becker? Did you complete all the questions in Becker. Did you take any of the practice exams in your review?December 20, 2018 at 5:15 pm #2123487
@shakil127 both 50. I Went through all the lectures, MCQ twice, and sims. I feel like st times I am going through the motion and I can’t keep all the information fresh in my head. I am trying to figure another strategy for AUD I still have Becker. Some have suggested going though lectures, and then read the whole book, and then go back to drill MCQS and SIMS. Anyone tips? I am more of a visual engaging study material.December 21, 2018 at 12:07 pm #2124387
I am still trending 60's on MCQ's! I am planning to take the exam on End of January or first week of February before tax season. This is my second attempt. I do Audit and Tax on my current job but it is entirely different! I always got tricked on the questions. Somehow, I always picked the second choice. grrrr.. My main review is Wileyexcel and supplemented with Ninja this time. Hopefully, I will pass on the second attempt. Good luck everyone! Any advice will be appreciated.December 25, 2018 at 4:29 pm #2128391
My name is Mark, my first exam is going to be AUD and it's scheduled for Jan 28 19.
Question for the masses – I am using becker, it seems that when you launch a simulation the pop out windows are so small and hard to read? I thought it was by browser but i don't think it was. Does anyone have this issue?December 25, 2018 at 8:31 pm #2128595
My name is Tony. It's been over 6 months since I started studying AUD with Roger CPA. However, due to scheduling conflicts, I haven't been able to sit for the exam and will finally take the exam in February (exact date TBD). This is my first exam. I feel prepared for it and have been practicing more on the TBS lately.
This might be a dumb question but, does anyone know if the CPA's TBS are graded based on getting all questions/parts/items within correct or do you get credit for all the ones you got right also? (For example: in Roger CPA, for the TBS, even if you get 1 item out of 20 wrong, then the whole answer is wrong)
Any feedback is much appreciated!December 26, 2018 at 12:44 pm #2129303
Hi, I haven't scheduled yet, but I am shooting to take AUD towards the end of January.December 26, 2018 at 5:10 pm #2129686
Do any of you find audit experience helpful? I’ve done a great deal of audits. Just started studying today, plan to sit early February.December 27, 2018 at 10:00 pm #2131249
I just took auditing in September and got a 72 and retook in beginning of December and got a 74 🙁
I plan on retaking in late January/early February. Any tips on passing? I seem to be stuck in the 72-74 rangeDecember 28, 2018 at 7:42 am #2131624
Greetings! I am studying with ninja + Becker and taking the exam on 1/9. Does anyone have a list most helpful mnemonics for the Audit exam? my goal is to memorize them day of, get into the test, and scribble them down on the little sheets they hand you to assist with slam dunk vocab/memorization questions.December 31, 2018 at 11:25 am #2136532
I'm taking Audit in March of 2019…it'll be my second exam. I passed FAR in December 2018 and I'm still in shock to be honest. 🙂 I'm only using Gleim but I love their review system! Good luck everyone! 🙂January 1, 2019 at 4:37 pm #2139925
Hi Tony, yes, you get partial credit on the CPA Exam for TBS.
I use Roger CPA Review also.
I was able to pass FAR, REG, and BEC all in one window using it.
I was averaging 60-70% correct on Roger IPQ, and I felt like the actual CPA test questions were easier than the Roger questions.
I take AUD on Thursday, I actually studied more for this one than any other. I will let you know how it goes.January 1, 2019 at 8:32 pm #2140561
Very grateful for the feedback. It's very helpful to know what others have been getting on the Roger IPQs. I feel more confident now for when I take AUD next month on 2/16. Also, glad to hear that you passed 75% of the CPA exam already and best of luck on your test on Thursday!January 2, 2019 at 12:35 am #2140930
I'm Dan and taking Audit on the 18th. Im not sure if this is the right place to post questions but wondering if anyone can help out. Im using Becker and I am confused about the use of an explanatory paragraph when expressing a modified opinion due to the work of a specialist. The MCQs for Chapter 2.5 state that the auditor may make reference to a specialist in an emphasis paragraph when modifying an opinion. However, Chapter 1, module 7 seems to contradict that. There is a passkey on page A1-56 that states “…the additional language is used to highlight particular circumstances without modifying the opinion.”
So which is it? I thought that when modifying an opinion you would want to use a basis for opinion and not an emphasis or other matter paragraph?
Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks!January 2, 2019 at 8:24 am #2141647
You answer should be available for free on aicpa.
Just Google AU-C 336
I don't know if maybe there's a difference between the aicpa and the pcaob, or if there's a difference between the client hiring the specialist or the auditor hiring The specialist in one of the items you're referencing (I don't use Becker)
But that is the actual aicpa standard, so hopefully you can find it in there.
I am sorry I don't have a better answer for you.January 3, 2019 at 8:21 pm #2146714
That seems totally legit.

Hello everyone! I just sat for FAR on 1/3/19, now I am studying for AUD. I'm using Wiley CPAExcel and will try to sit by the end of the month or beginning of February. Good luck to everyone taking this exam!January 7, 2019 at 4:09 pm #2153362
Just found out I passed FAR, and taking AUD on February 2nd and praying that I will finally be done! Went through lots of study techniques with Becker until I finally found something that worked for me. Good luck to you all!
